I am so fustrated today... I know that what I am doing is correct in the big picture.  I am eating good food, I am exercising 4 to 6 times a week for over an hour. Yet my weight for the last three weeks has been at a standstill. It even went up this last week.

I not surre what I should do, if anything.   I am so tempted  get a diet pill to get past the stage but that goes against my general point of view.  Well  this week I am going to be more diligent about my water.  Maybe that will spark the weight loss process

Hitting a plateau is totally frustrating. How close are you to your goal? Maybe you need to shake up your diet by taking in more or less calories for a few days (i've heard that can help). and yes, drink that water!!

I hope you figure out what you need to do to break that plateau!! It will break!

Ooh, I've been here before, too. I really don't think there is anything worse than the plateau when you don't want it.

(This is not meant to be discouraging...) My worst plateau actually lasted for three months, almost four. I was working for a university at that time and they offered a nutrition class for staff members that included testing for body fat, etc. I enrolled in it (insurance also covered the class if you finished it) and had all the testing done. I had been working with a personal trainer for well over a year and was keeping track of what I was eating etc. I thought I was making the right choices, but after having the metabolic panel done, I found out that I am not a good metabolizer of saturated fats. Apparently I automatically store them - do not pass go, do not attempt to burn off! So, the string cheese that I was using as a protein/dairy choice was hindering my weight loss goals. I ended up making some changes and that helped get me off the plateau! Once I saw that I was off the plateau, I ended up following Oprah Winfrey's boot camp (heavy cardio schedule to burn up fat) and was very successful with that plan too. So now I end up adding interval cardio into my workouts when I feel like I am 'standing still.'

Please know you have a friend cheering you on! Keep up your good work.
