It is a bit colder today than yesterday but the sun is shinning and I will take it. Today is going to be a tidy up day, exercise and hopefully read some of my book. I would like to get my book read so I can start a sewing project. I have been holding off to see if I can get the last 20 pounds off before I buy or make any more clothes. I am confident I can do this.
The little devil in my scales has gone on a holiday and let the scales go so they are finally starting to fall again. After two years. I am happy.

Things are still going really well and the scales are cooperating for me. Went for a long walk with hubby today so that was my exercise. I love going for walks when the weather is nice outside and since they are calling for rain tomorrow I am glad we got out.

Woke up this morning with a stiff neck but other than that I feel great. I am still on track, I have already exercised.
I have a few chores to do today and then the rest of the day is mine.
Hope everyone is having a good day.

Well, today was weigh in day and I am down three pounds and very proud of myself. I realize that one day does not make a huge difference but when you put a lot of good days together it does make a difference. Most of the credit goes to my good friend because she put me in the right direction and I really do appreciate and thank her. Now lets see what next Sunday brings.
It is suppose to be warmer today and tomorrow I hope the weather man is not wrong. We need some heat.

Still doing great. I made a large salad and sandwiches for lunch but I only ate 1/2 a sandwich and a large portion of salad. I know I did good. I hope the scales say so tomorrow.
It is suppose to be warmer tomorrow I can hardly wait.

Ok so I think I did good until the last.
Breakfast: Oatmeal with 1 tbsp blueberries
Snack: None
Lunch: 1/2 cup no fat cottage cheese
1/2 cup peaches sliced and rinsed
Snack: Plum
Supper: Italian Chicken on whole wheat spaghettini noodles
2 glasses of red wine (sorry could not resist)
Only water for the rest of the evening.
My sister and friend are coming tomorrow and I have to plan lunch, should be interesting. But my daughter showed up with 1/2 of a cake to dispose of so guess who is getting it for lunch tomorrow just to get rid of it. ha ha not nice I know but I also know they will eat it.

Well I did good yesterday if I do say so myself. I am going home today so hopefully I will do even better on my own turf. I had Kung Pow (spelt wrong I am sure) for supper last night it was mostly vegetables with just a hint of noodles. It was really good.
This morning I had an orange and two hard boiled eggs and a cup of tea. No idea for lunch and supper yet because I do not know where I will be.

OK so yesterday I ate a vegetarian omelette for breakfast, an apple and a breakfast bar for lunch and for supper I had a Spinach/chicken(grilled no skin or bone) salad and 1 rye and diet coke. As far as I can tell the worse thing I ate yesterday was the breakfast bar which was 120 cal, 2 g fat, 6 g of fibre and 8 g of sugar.
I read up to Phase I of the G.I. Diet and it makes perfect sense so once I get home I am going to apply myself to it and see what happens.
Today so far I have had 2 cups of tea, 1 hard boiled egg and a little bit of this goop that was oatmeal, walnuts, approx 6 raisins and a little yogurt (it was horrible).
I have a plan for lunch but I have no idea where we are going for supper.
I am just waiting for my breakfast to digest a bit and then I am going to go up to the gym and make use of the exercise equipment.
When I get back to the room, after a nice hot shower I am going to settle down and read or start my son-in-laws hat.

Well day one in Toronto. I got up had a shower went down for breakfast (I do not like eating by myself but one of the Union guys gave me a coupon for a free breakfast. I had a vegetarian omelet, it came with hash browns and toast but I only ate the omelet and crabbed an apple for later.
Went for an hour walk after breakfast and went to the Eaton Centre and I walked all three floors and then I went to the Worlds Largest Book Store. I bought The G.I. Diet, The g.i.diet guide to shopping and eating out, Wicked and Mirror Mirror and A Lion Among Men all by Gregory Maguire. I also bought a book of puzzles for my grand daughter.
Now I am going to go find out where the gym and pool are.
Weather, it is suppose to rain this afternoon so I did good by going shopping this morning.

Like I don't feel bad enough I had to wake up to freezing rain thru the night and now snow. It was starting to feel so nice with everyting melting. And now we have to drive to Toronto in this, just great.
I now realize that what worked in the past does not always work in the present. I have been struggling for so long with trying to loose weight and count points that I did not realize that I was still eating too many grams of sugar in a day. Today is day of one trying to keep track of it.
Serenity, what is the name of that GI book you have, while I am in Toronto I am only two blocks away from Canada's largest book store and I am going to see if I can find it. Thanks.
