staying on track but have been busy busy busy. It's a good thing though I am doing well in class - straight A+'s so far :D hope the trend continues when my 4th and 5th class start up soon.

I have kept right in line with calories - likely because I am too darn busy with school and work to eat much lol

My wii fit age this AM was 26 woohoo lol and my weight is steady at 144 ... 125 here I come! :D

On a roll now

little one has all but stopped nursing now - maybe once a day if that and suddenly the pounds are saying "lets get outta here"... hooray I was starting to worry. I am down 3 lbs this week already and I think I need to actually up my calories a bit from what the tool said. 1340 calories is leaving me running on empty by the evening time and making me irritable. Was nice to see the scale go DOWN finally.

I definitely don't fit the mold that when you nurse the weight falls off - in fact I was the opposite. Even eating healthy and only 2000 calories or less per day the weight did not budge! lol

My sweet little son is now 13 months old as of today .... :( it's sooo much fun but it goes waaaaaay too fast!

Staying on track

It was a crazy hectic day today - work all day and then straight to evening class - I had to eat out because of no break but I did good. I went and had a salad bar and ate fresh fruits, a lovely salad with greens and plenty of veggies and as a treat I let myself have a tiny chocolate tart thing. I think I did pretty good considering :)

Off to bed - back at it tomorrow same ol same ol :)

daily progress report

I find I do better when i can see progress at a glance so if I am accountable to post here regularly to my journal then I will hopefully stay motivated :)

I made it my goal yesterday to get up and exercise early this morning. I remember how back before baby morning exercise seemed to give me a boost all day long. So this morning I got up and dusted off the old wii fit lol and hopped on for a fifteen minute step aerobic and jogging session. My calves really felt it :) It did boost my energy and I have planned out my foods for the day with an A grade - looking forward to making salsa out of my garden later mmmmmmmmm.

Now I hope I do as well on all my homework! lol :)

Got two A's on my past two tests - off to a good start there in school too! woohoo!

Starting over again :)

So I took the leap and decided to go back to school again after all this time. I haven't been in a college classroom in 15 years, but I figured I need something a bit more "recession proof" so I am going for a web design degree.

My littlest one just turned 1 last month and is starting to slowly wean himself from breastfeeding. That part is kind of hard for me - but I hope to turn it into something positive by being able to finally lose the baby weight. I have that stubborn 20 pounds that would not come off while I've been nursing - so now I am going to get back into action.

Going into a career field that is more sedentary has me concerned for the potential to really pack on the pounds if I don't regain some good habits again. :)

getting discouraged again - running out of patience.

Ok so I have been doing everything right - the exact same thing I did when I lost the weight last time only more exercise and pushing myself. I have managed to lose 5 pounds in six months since the baby has been born.

What about this happy crap they say that breastfeeding is supposed to make the weight just fall off? Yeah right... I guess those women aren't 35 already. I am thinking hormones are contributing a lot to it because of me still nursing but I don't want to give up nursing just to lose weight - but I can't stand being like this either. None of my prepregnancy clothes fit yet .

It's not the vanity things really that are so hard it's the constant uphill battle and multitudes of plateaus despite the fact I eat well. I have tried raising my calories thinking maybe I wasn't getting enough because my milk supply was going down - but all that did was make me gain weight back and my milk supply is still down (I think now it is because bub is eating solids during the day)

I tried cutting down my calories but then there was no weight loss and so I stayed at or below that maintenance stage and still nothing even with the exercise.

The good news is I can run now - I ran almost two miles the other day. The bad news is no matter how much I run my fat ass I still can't lose the weight.. ARGGGHHH

To top it off my fiance is underweight - so he needs to eat more while I eat less and it makes it difficult. He is super supportive of me though and that is a blessing.

Ok enough whining - back to work.

strength training again and learned to make my own veggie burgers from scratch!

I am very stoked about the veggie burgers. I learned to make some black bean veggie patties from scratch. For about the price of 4 gardenburgers in the store I got enough ingredients to make 27 patties to freeze on my own! they turned out very good although i am going to do a little "tweaking" to get the texture to where I like it a little better. The flavor is excellent though and they are so versatile there are so many ways you can make them. I plan to post the recipe on here when time allows.

I found a recipe for vegetarian sausage I am going to try next. Dierbergs is special ordering the TVP (texturized vegetable protein) for me - very cool of them.

So I haven't lost any weight but I am nursing still and have started strength training again to get myself back as strong as I was prepregnancy. I slacked off quite a bit and boy does it show. I did modified strength training through the first half of the pregnancy but in my 3rd trimester stuck to light yoga nad gave up the weights and resistance and I can sure tell now! yikes!

I still feel good I made it through Halloween and the election is over now woohoo for Obama I am so happy... hopefully I can keep the momentum going

That was so cool - I won the shoe contest at the witches night out and got 40 dollars in free gift certificates to a variety of stores/restaraunts down on Main St. :D very cool I was happy it was a lot of fun.
