Entry Day 2 back on the wagon.

Ate about 1400 calories today.  Logged activity of about 120 minutes of walking - I was running all over goddess's creation today.  I took my dog Rex to the dog park for half an hour, of which I was standing the entire time, or walking over to where he'd left a "leaving" or to fetch his ball because "fetch" still isn't in his routine. Then at 12:30 I went to get my grandma and take her to some dr's appointments, and we went to the Book Barn to try to sell some of my grandma's books (she's got a BUNCH of books she's collected over the years.  Out of 3 big cloth, reuseable grocery bags, we only sold like 10 books (had probably 40) and got a whole $6.50 cash.  It's better than nothing!!!  But walking around with Nana and into and out of dr's apointments, I figured all the walking I'd done today added up to 120 minutes. 

Its good to be so close to her.  I really have missed her.  Yes, she has changed, she's not the same Nana I remember pre-stroke but she's coming back slowly.  I'm concerned there may be early signs of Alzheimer's but i'm not sure.  I'm sure her doctors would say something if that were so.  I may have to pull one of them aside, then again, it may just be from her stroke.  

I picked up the newer version of Pride and Prejudice from the library today (she needed to make some copies so I was standing there anyway) and I'm gonna plug that into my little laptop and give that an honest, undivided, undisturbed viewing. 

It appears as I have burned just over 2500 cals today, including the walking, and eaten 1400 cals, that's 1100 cal deficit.  (guess I can have a cookie!)

Fellin good, but I forgot to take my vities today. (taking Super B Complex, One a day Women's, Prenatal and my papaya enzymes) but oh well. :/

I fell off and far.  Back at 225.  Back here where I should have been checking in anyway.

A lot has happened since April. 

1) I left my husband and came to Connecticut

2)my husband agreed to attend anger management and to move us here to connecticut in order to reconcile with me

3) Due to stress I've managed to gain back 40 of the 60lbs I've worked so hard to lose.  When I got here in April I was hovering between 190 and 200. Now as of yesterday I'm at 225lbs. :(  I'm so disappointed in myself.

 

So I'm going to get on the cc bandwagon.  We're looking into Planet Fitness here in Waterford.  Hope to sign up.  and after finally seeing the movie Super Size Me, thanks to Hulu.com.  I will NEVER eat McDonalds again!

Total Loss to date: 21.75" over all lo

Starting size 20W+++++ (busting out, literally)

Current clothing size 16/XL (with a bit of wiggle room to spare - just a bit)

Entry Battling the Plateau...

...and my urge to snack!

Yes, I'm stuck on my 3rd plateau in this journey of mine. This time, I'm hovering around 210lbs. I've found that my plateaus are mostly caused by my mindless snacking at night. I do great during the day, but once I get home the nibble-monster takes over. Weekends are even worse!!! I still haven't figured out a way to keep myself from destroying all the hard work I've done in the past year. Needless to say, I will NOT be meeting my goal of breaking 200 by June 1st - not unless I can lose 10lbs in 2 days. Since I know that is not a realistic idea, I know that I'll just have to jump back on the bandwagon asap and try very hard to stick with it!

Okay, I finally found a store close to work (close-ish) that sells Sushi, but I didn't realize how much SODIUM is in Wasabi!  it's a good thing I didn't eat much - just enought to barely cover the tip of a sewing needle!

a serving of wasabi has close to 900mg sodium!!!!!!!!

But I will say that my california rolls, with soy sauce, were very scrumptious!  I also love the sushi ginger! :)))

 

Update - I've been plateaued at 210 all month, I did see 207 earlier this month but that was very brief!

I've jumped back on the gym bandwagon, today I'll be taking off, but I've gone the past three days in a row.

Okay - back to work now!

Entry My butt hurts!

Okay, for some reason, the idea to buy roller blades and start blading again (after 12 years!!!) popped into my head last week.  So I ordered some roller blades from Kmart online, they showed up yesterday. 

Here's how this went down...  I got home, changed from my capris to some old jeans, put the dog in his harness and leash, then I sat on my back stoop to put my skates on.  Then I tried to get up in a graceful manner....  That' didn't happen.  Before I had even gotten up on these damn things, I landed on my knees.  I have nosey neighbors so I just laugh it off and get back up.  Meanwhile, I'm thinking, Thank GOD my husband isn't here to see this, If he were I'd never live it down.  So I'm getting my bearings, so to speak, and the dog starts trying to attack my wheels!!! it was tooo funny!!!!  So we go around the block and as we're coming up to our last turn, to get back to the house, Rex decides he needs to eliminate...  This, i'm sure, was quite a site, me... on skates...  with the dog pulling on me, trying to pick up the pooh and keep my balance at the same time...  Damn near did a face plant into the pooh! ROFLMAO!  So I get home and get inside partly mortified that i did so poorly my first go-round.  Then I decide to go back out.  I let the dog out off leash, he's good off leash.  and I just went up and down the sidewalk a bit trying to get back into it. 

So now today, my but and thighs are very angry with me.  I stand up and my muscles yell for me to sit down... I sit down and my muscles yell for me to stand up...  I just can't wiN! But I'm NOT going to quit!!! 

I think perhaps my skates are too big...  I may try to exchange them, but I think I'll try wearing extra socks first... 

So then, after the skating incidents..  I decided to get to some gardening I had been procrastinating on...  I needed to pull up the peony's that we have and plant my honeysuckle...  The peony's are nice, but whoever planted them, put them right on the corner of the house where the kitchen is. (we've only lived here just over 2 years now) so the ants that are drawn to this plant end up in the house looking for food after the blooms open.. They were just starting to get tall and I just thought i would take advantage of the nice weather yesterday.  Now...  I don't have a shovel, so here I am for 45 min. fighting with this big clump of roots with a damn spade!!!  Finally I got fed up and borrowed a shovel from my neighbor.  So I spent an hour and a half doing that and I am sure that some of my sore muscles are from that too... 

Anyway, just thought I would share - my butt hurts. LOL

Well, nothing new to report.  I did, for a fraction of a moment see the scales on Saturday Morning at 208, but after my workout, it was back at 210 so 210 is my new low.  after gaining 2lbs over the weekend, I'm back at 210 today.  My official weigh in will happen at the gym this evening.  Then I'll have to do a nice little hike when I get home as the dog will need some outside time.  I live 2 blocks from a nice trail, and I think we'll have to visit said trail tonight. :)

Anyway - that's the status quo! Hope you all have a beautiful day. it's 65 here and the sun is shinning and the world is beautiful and turning green!Laughing

Entry 11lbs from my June 1 goal...

I really wasn't up to going to the gym last night, but I went anyway.  And the longer I stayed on that treadmill, the less I wanted to be there.  All ambitions were gone...  But as of right now, I'm glad I went.

I'm now at 210, I have 11lbs to go in order to reach my June 1 goal of seeing 199lbs!!!

Now, if I can do well with today's lunch..  the office is grilling out.  Not sure whats on the menu, but I will do my best with portion control and will.  considering i'm sitting in my 16W's right now! YAY!!! :)

Well, I'll report back this weekend.  Hope you all have a great weekend.
