Entry Stats

Today is the first workday babysitting for my granddaughter (a joy, of course) and resisting the trail of leftover snacks she is leaving uneaten.  I am doing much better with that these days.  (My mom always taught us not to waste food, you know).

The weather is absolutely gorgeous, with sunny skies and temps in the mid 70's.

Perfect weather for walking, but not able to today. I haven't figured out how to take Grace and get it done without frustration. I may try it this evening when my husband, David gets home. We'll still have about a hour and a half of good daylight left.

I wanted to post my stats, but I don't have all I would post.

Here's what I have.

54 years old

5'2" tall, current weight 227  beginning weight 258 this time

All time high about 262. I may have reached that spring of '07.

I've seen where others consider measurements.  When I find a tape measure, I'll see how those look.

Grace is taking a nap now.  I'm posting, and drinking a cup of coffee, and listening to Soundscapes on Digital Cable; it's very serene and meditative and contemplative.

It's about 3:34 pm. Once I've enjoyed this little break, I have to get back to laundry detail!

I added a photo of myself one of the few times I have been happy with my appearance (back in June of 2000, nearly 10 years ago). I want to go there again.

Measuring

I highly reccomend keeping a measurement journal. I picked a tape up at Dollarama and have committed to measuring once a week. At some poin the scales are going to stop dropping as fast and then it will be the measuring tape that will show the real effects my changes have made to my body.

Will Grace not go in the stroller so that you can go for a long brisk walk? Pushing a stroller is a great form of exersise! or pulling a wagon? Thats what I do with Rachel (4) when we go out any distance.

Take care!

Thanks for the encouragement. I will purchase a tape tomorrow.

It's Saturday.  I took Grace home today (1.5 hour drive one way).

Being grandmama and not mama, I try not to create situations where she may make a big scene in places where I cannot diffuse the situation pretty quickly.  My children are in their early 30's. I have one grandchild.  We took her walking in the neighborhood in her stroller when it was warm a month or so back.  After about 20 minutes, she wanted to get out and walk.  I made the mistake of allowing her to do so. She did not want to get back in.  I'll have to have a discussion with her about it before I try it again.  She is very good with being reminded about what she agreed to once we've had the talk.

Thanks for the time. I really appreciate it.

Hi Debiac, So here I just found out how to access friends' journals.  I didn't know that you could even do that! I have a clearer picture now of who you are and of your situation.  I'm not too bright as yet, as it just going on 7 a.m.  I got up at 5 a.m. because I couldn't go back to sleep.  From now on,, I'm going to write more journal entries, for anyone who wants to read them.
