Entry Bringing others along
Nov 12 2009 10:44

Good morning, Thursday.  It's been raining here now for two days; so much rain, flash flood advisories posted in surrounding areas.  No problem here. We're on high ground.

When I started my weight loss venture, the next thought of mine was who could I get to join me.  I thought it would be nice to have some close comrades to share the success with that went on the journey and enjoyed their own success, as well.

The whole body appearance and weight issue is such a personal experience for a lot of people.  One can not just approach someone who appears a little overweight, and say "hey, would you like to join me in a weight loss program?"

Joining caloriecount.com is saying that I need some help with the process.

I look forward to the people I will meet and become close with on caloriecount.com

I agree completely about body image. Its like this dirty secret we dont talk about. The amazing thing is if you take the chance and reach out to the people who love you they will in general support your journey. WE get so caught up in thinking THEY judge us that we loose sight of everything else.

As the weeks progress and we learn more and more about the running of this site I feel that we will find contact with others in a simular boat.  I know I seek out people with the same goals and same lifestyle as me as they will relate to what I blog or comment.
