I started my journey in May of 2009. With a starting weight of 165lbs, the excess weight began to effect my health and that gave me a wake up call!

I have been reading and learning which is helping me to continue day by day. I think I could have been a little further along today but I "cheated" a few times. Overall I am currently at 156lbs and my goal is 135lbs for now. Ideally, I would like to weigh 125lbs.

What I currently do is eat small, healthy meals every 2-3 hours. I try to get in alot of fibre early in the morning by adding wheat germ and flax to whatever I am eating. My diet is high in protein, I watch the carbs and drink ALOT of water.

Eliminated

pop/soda

junkfood (candy, chips etc.)

fast food

white sugar

white flour

white rice

"cow milk"

I try my best to do some sort of exercise. I use a stepper and do 15 minutes and then 20 minutes strength training with a Jillian Michaels dvd.

I am going to "up" my exercise routine and hopefully see more pounds shed off in the weeks to come.

Until then, stay strong and don't quit!
