Entry I S-o-o-o Rock!
Jul 04 2009 16:36

So, Monday June 29, 2009 I jogged my first mile in more than a decade. I did this in 16:33. Not a great time, so I decided that I would improve and set a goal of 15 min.

Today, five days later, I went out again. I set out to accomplish my 15min mile. To my surprise I completed an 11:30 mile. This is officially considered "running" at 5 miles an hour.

I am pretty excited. I am not dropping the weight as easily as I would like, but the health and mental benefits have been phenomenal.  It is like the harder I try, the more I succeed and the more confident  I feel.

In one month I had accomplished more health wise than I could have dreamed. This has proved to me that I am more capable than I give myself credit for. It has been a difficult, but awesome experience. I look forward to working harder and accomplishing more.

Thanks for reading!

You do. It just takes some time to learn how you work best.

Life will try to beat you down, but it can't if you don't let it.
