Weight 225 pounds. Bedtime 4:30 AM, up at 12:30 PM. I'm sleeping better:)
I finished my archeology text (except the New World stuff, which I skipped). The book is seriously out of date - for one thing they knew next to nothing about human evolution back then (in the 70s). I've moved on to "Civilization of the Goddess" by Marija Gimbutas, a big fat book about Neolithic Europe. Her book was written around 1990 so it's a bit more current than the beginner's book. Now I have some background on what people thought when Gimbutas came along with her radical ideas.
I have a nice dinner planned: New York steak with oven fries:) Maybe they'll reinstate me on Top Chef!
Weather: it's pretty grey out. Temperature isn't bad, though: 8C.
LATER (9 PM): I think I'd do better on Top Chef tonight:
Tom: a classic! Steak and Frites! But the frites are baked.
Toby: these oven fries are too crispy around the edges. You need strong teeth for these. They taste very good, though.
Tom: the steak is nicely seasoned. Cooked a bit past medium rare - I wonder if that was on purpose.
Steve: (thinking)(I'm glad I didn't use that rosemary - it was on the point of turning moldy).
Padma: aren't these vegetables leftovers? They're really soggy.
Padma: this dish isn't on the top or the bottom.
Oven fries are nice, specially when we've got cold weather. Amazing how textbooks change in such a short period of time! |
So, this is Wednesday and you have not posted since Monday. Are you all right? You know me, when I don't see someone every day I get concerned about them. Better check in, so I don't have to send the search teams out to find you. {{{{{{SUPER HUGE HUGS}}}}}} V |
I'm alright, except my sleeping is really wonky. When my schedule is so upset I tend not to journal - it's a routine thing. Thanks for thinking of me! |
