i am frustrated of people saying i starve myself i mean seriously come on today like a normal day i ate- scrambled egg whites on 2 slices of toast with tea,bottle of ribenna light,small can of tuna in brine,an orange,grilled chicken with vegetables and half a can of chopped tomatoes,7 strawberries, low calorie hot chocolate,2 pieces of sugar-free gum.
people that is alot for 800 calories if u dont mind me saying so!! and from reading that u would think the same. comment if u like.
i am not criticisng you - it certainly looks a lot of food for 800 cals but can you answer me one question - are you losing or maintaining? |
thank u,someone who agrees with me =) and im trying to maintain and havent lost any weight for ages or i havent put on any either but thank u i feel more better after reading that. |
if you ever felt the need would you allow yourself to go over 800 or is that the limit you will only allow yourself to eat? i am trying to lose and found the amount of here too low so i devised my own within reason based on a plan i followed in the uk years ago - it was called welsh slim - the class leader gave me an allowance of 1800 and i was still on that when i was nearly at target - 10.5 stone or 147lbs. at the end of the day you know your body better than anyone - just please do me a favour - if you ever feel the need for that bit more dont be afraid to eat it. i am not and since upping a bit i am coping much better (that is not criticising - this is a person who is trying to show concern) |
oh right thank you for your concern i do try and stick to 800 every day with 1 day in the week at 1400-1500 calories but i try to have alot of food thats always low in calories as you can see . i do get hungry every now and then but i think their just craveings. im hungry right now and really feel like a banana and some chocolate but im not just sure if its a craveing so i know if i'll proberly have them i'll reach 900 calories for today so i might try to stick with 900 for a while and see how that goes. |
just a question,if you didnt know that what i told you was 800 calories,how much would you think that was on an esitimate coz when i told my mum she guessed it was at least 1300 on a rough guess and shes always watched what i had and still didnt know i was only having 800. |

dont worry i know it came up to 800 as u.k food products have there calories on front on everythink. argh i just binged thats 2000 calories gone down the drain =(!! |
know how you feel on that - i am having a binge day today - am up to 2241 so far and very little exercise - getting over a cold and chest infection. but tomorrow i will have to fight hard to get back on track my 21lbs loss is in sight |
ok now ive had more than u lol mines up to 2900 and my stomach huets,geez whats wrong with me and those chocolates lol,i seriously need to get back on track =S |
my binge list is huge =O do u think its because my body needs more than 800 and itsa sign? coz i use to have the odd binge on 1200 calories aswell,i really dont know how many calories my body needs for me to stop bingein! but im guessing i dont need alot as short and light people with small frames dont need many to maintain,right? |
without treading on your toes - try using the weight tools on the site but it does mention that a woman should try to not eat less than 1200 it could be a sign that your body needs more calories if you used to have the odd binge. why dont you try building up gradually to the minimum level as advised on the site of 1200 - say an extra 50 - 100 a day at a time until you reach no more than 1200 minimum - your body will soon tell you when its had enough |

well im 5ft,98 lbs and secondtary i think but im an individualist and belive that some general rules dont apply as i dont use this site to tell me how much i need i let my own body do that. if all nurtritionists and doctors were right then we wuld all be thin. but anyway i really dont like going over 800 but some days i carn help it like today. |
this site thinks i maintain at 1400. i could try reaching 1000 everyday without feeling to bad but i just need to sound that ve eaten less foods with more calories in if u know what i mean then i dont sound like ive eaten so much.any tips or recipes would be appreiated.oh and i do have some trigger foods like peanut butter and rasins and sometimes cereal so i try not to go near them |
