Entry Day 1
Nov 08 2009 12:09

Ok here goes day 1!

I like this site, it tells me I am Moderatley Overweight as opposed to Obese like most do!

I always have been since about age 11 a womans size 14, it has always bothered me that i am bigger then all my friends but it never really upset me completely enough to do something serious about it. I am in proportion, i dont look obese anyway! My clothes have always been nice and i have always felt good in them.

However, a couple of weeks ago, we agreed and paid to go to a winter ball in January, attending will be a lot of people that i have not seen for a long time, and, since last meeting at such a function, i have put on about 3 stone! I still look in proportion, but just bigger!

My mum has lent me a dress, a gorgeous strappless affair all in black and white and satin, it has about 2 inches before it will fasten completely and probably 3 before it fits comfortably. So seeing as I loose all over (Thankfully) i know what i have to do.

However this needs to go on longer then January 15th. I would really like to get back down to what i was when I met my hubby and be able to look at photos and not cringe!

So here begins day 1 of the serious long term diet, not a crash diet like i have attempted in the past.

so, 198lbs today, 176lbs by January 24th! 1-2 lbs a week, 1500 calories with plans to eat 5 small meals a day rather then 3 large ones. Lets see how it goes.....

Good luck to you!

I'm in a similar situation -- going into 2 pregnancies at about 180 lbs or so, I'm 3 months post partum at around 190 (same height as you).

One thing to keep in mind with the 5 meals a day is the portions.  I had this problem when I first started doing this.  Keeping each either 300 each, or having a couple bigger with 2 really small snacks can be difficult.

I've been doing it for a little while now and sort of just eat a selection of the same options every day.  It gets kind of boring, but with 2 kids and not a lot of time -- limited options for me is easier and takes less time out of calculating what I can and cannot have.

Good luck to you!
