Entry Black Bean Pumpkin soup
Nov 05 2009 23:50

Sounds good huh? Healthy too. I am in a cooking meetup group and I have a soup swap coming up this Sunday. I love soups in the winter. The majority are healthy. Anyway, I made oven roasted squash soup last year, with various fall squashes to rave reviews but wanted to stay with the squash angle, so I found this recipe online. I love love black beans and pumpkin, so we will see how it goes. You use a bit of sherry and can tomatoes in it as well.

My favorite lunch is a can of black beans. I heat in microwave with a bit of water and then mash them up. Sometimes I put it in a whole wheat tortilla with salsa and low fat sour cream.

Started spitting rain today but not too bad. I walked the dogs and it did not rain on us. A perfect day to walk dogs. I love the wind and the leaves were rustling and the smell of fall and leaves in the air..ahhhh. It is going to get worse from the weather reports though.ugh.

I am on my 24 ornament. Here is one of my favorite dogs. I love his pout. He is a cutey and one day I would love to meet him and his mom. (They live in New York) He is a Pit Bull..a big ol softy.

Bear in mind, my camera sucks because it came from my Blackberry phone.

and....here are my November furchildren..what they won't do for treaties

Wow! I took one look at the pit bull ornament and immediately surfed over to your blog to look up your ornaments. I don't have much wall space for full blown paintings, but I just happen to collect special Christmas ornaments...so expect an order for 2 after Christmas (no rush, so I won't dump on you and add to your before-Christmas workload!).

Love the group shot! I can't believe they're so cooperative...and photogenic, too.
