Ivory Losing the pounds, one day at a time...

So, I have to be a diet pooper (haha). I've been very grouchy, weak, and cranky the past few days and I'm not doing well at work, so I'm going to have to call today my last day. I'll wean myself off with orange juice tomorrow and such, I just can't continue if it's going to affect my work this much. My boyfriend said he'll do this with me in a couple of months and if I can make eight days my first time around, I'm sure I can make ten since I know what to expect! I know it's terrible to quit when I'm so close, but I feel it's time to call it a day. I appreciate all the support I've received from you guys! Good luck to all of you!
Well good job making it that far - much more than I could have ever done! So what are your overall thoughts on it? Did you lose weight - I know that is far from the promary purpose but I would be curious to know how much that came off, stays off. I hope that you get ungrouchy and the transition back to food is a good one :) |
Thanks, mickchap! Overall, I would recommend it to someone who may be completely off track in their eating habits at the moment. Someone who may be constantly overeating and can't seem to get back into a healthy lifestyle. This is a great way to get you in touch with your body and help you figure out the difference between hunger and cravings. I realized a lot during this diet and one of the big things was that if I feel hungry, it's not the end of the world. I used to go nuts with food when I felt a little hungry, so I'd never let myself get that way. It's okay to be hungry for a little while, especially if there's nothing healthy close by to eat. I did lose weight. I lost a little over 10 pounds in those eight days. I was so anxious to start eating healthy again and I'm sure I'll gain most of that weight (if not all) of it back, though. However, like you said, that's not the focus of the diet and it's not why I did it. I do plan to eat much healthier things, though. The idea of processed foods (at the moment) just don't appeal to me. I'm ready for some vegetable soup and a nice crisp salad! Thanks again for your comments! I wish you the best in your healthy living goals! |
