Weigh in: 132.2 (don't like)
Yesterday:
I packed a lunch: A very reasonable portion of whole wheat spaghetti and red meat sauce. 2 of my mom's homemade chocolate fudge cookies. It wasn't the ideal lunch but it was better than buying a lunch.
I made a healthy dinner: a pork kabob, bean salad (chickpeas & navy beans in a dash of olive oil & parsley & garlic), and some frozen thai blend of veggies. And a glass of 1% milk. I love milk. Our corner store was out of it last night - ugh - no cereal for me this morning!
I went to the gym: I did a decent weight workout. I'm proud of myself for going.
But I haven't actually made myself a new lifting program so it was kind of a random workout and maybe not always the best I could do. But I went. And I went at 8:30 (late for me) after my monday tv shows since i didn't make it pre-dinner (that means I had to get up off the couch!). The gym was busy and full of stupid people. There was this group of 15 guys just taking up space and being social. Go be social at a bar or coffee house or on the street corner. Don't hog equipment you aren't using and free weight lifting space just to talk about your day. They were there all night bugging me and using up the girl weights. Which means they weren't even meatheads. Just annoying kids.
I tried not to bedtime snack: I had the night time munchies big time after my workout. And instead of eating the chocolate bars and the cookies I had some water. I did snack a little when I got home from work. I stole a sliver taste of my mom's pumpkin orange poppy seed loaf. And I popped some beans while I was making my lame bean salad. I guess my yogurt with granola before I left work wasn't quite enough to help the self control. but it probably helped a little.
Overall I approve that I'm getting myself back in the workout saddle and back to paying attention to what I eat. Even if it wasn't perfect I tried harder than usual and know where to improve.
Today: Packed the same lunch. (leftovers are leftovers!) Going to do some cardio tonight. Perhaps if it stays dry go for a run! Must come up with something yummy and healthy for dinner tonight. Perhaps a shrimp stirfry on quinoa.
Still haven't booked our holiday yet. I am getting anxious that we will wait too long and won't get something good!
You and me both, back on the horse! Yay! I am so much happier when I am truly giving it my all, being perfect doesn't matter it's the trying and paying attention to where improvements are needed that counts! |
