Week 3

At weigh in I am disappointed but not surprised to say that I have gained 1 pound.

I have not been entering in my food over the past week and I have cheated a few times. We went away for the weekend and therefore ate out alot. Although I said that I cheated, I did try to eat healthier and less had I not been on a diet.

With that said, I am going to input everything that goes into my mouth this week on calorie count and see if I loose anything. If not, then I may need to cut my calories down alittle.

Week Two of Calorie Count

I am down 4.5 pounds from last week, with a total lost of 10lbs. I am so happy. This has been a fairly easy two weeks. I've been counting calories religiously during the week. I have 4 small kids, so Friday's are pizza night. So, this Friday, I ate Pizza and didn't count the calories. I only had two slices and a half of a steak and cheese hoagie. Alot less then I would usually eat, and I didn't snack afterwards. I just watch on the weekends and don't put all of my calories into the computer, but I eat the same things for breakfast and lunch.

I am hopefull that counting calories will work if I stick to the plan. With Calorie Count it is easy to count calories! I have tried to diet several times over the past several years and I always loose around 10 lbs and then it becomes difficult to loose anything else. Although, it usually takes me several weeks to loose 10.

I've been feeling really good since starting counting calories. I am hoping I can take enough weight off that my knees stop hurting everyday.

Week One of Calorie Count

It is Week 1 of counting calories. I have to say I thought it would be harder than it actually has been. This is what I have learned about myself from this website and counting my calories:

I am definitely an over eater when I am stressed and/or bored.

My portions are entirely too big.

I don't eat enough veggies.

I eat too much fast food.

Starbucks is not my friend.

I have given birth to my 4th child in middle April. I have been overweight now since the birth of my first child in 2000. I gained 80 pounds with my first pregnancy and have been battling that weight since then. I've tried Weight Watchers but it just did not work for me. I thought counting calories would be harder, but I love how this website shows you what you have burned vs. what you consume.

My goal is to be 135lbs again. I started my "diet" on September 30th at 202lbs. I week later of just counting calories and making concious food changes, I am now 196.50lbs. I have lost 5.5lbs in just one week!

What I am going to try to do is always keep just under my calories burned, so that I am always burning some of my "stored fat", without starving myself. It has worked this week and I am full and happy. I have replaced my usual fast food type meal for lunch with a bag of veggies that I steam in the microwave. It is healthier, cheaper, and quicker than going through the drive thru.
