Day 4 Recap & Day 5

So the morning of Day 4 was very productive. We are going to pick up the recap right around lunch time. For lunch I had a 2nd bowl of Kashi Promise Strawberry Fields with 1 cup of Whole Milk (that is one thing that will not go! I hate the taste of watered down, I mean, skim milk.) Dinner was a left-over 'feast.' I had a rotissire chicken sandwich (about 530 calories) and a half serving of speghetti (about 330 calories.) So I had a big dinner, but I was feeling a bit dizzy prior so I knew I had to take in a bit more then what I've been eating. I ended up taking in a total of 1805 calories, which isn't too bad. Only about 100 over my normal, which I attribute to a yummy peanut butter cookie! My activity easily made up for that though, between the gym in the morning, about an hour of billiards, and a 30 minute trip to the grocery store I burned about 3400 calories.

Day 5 started out naughty :). I had an eclair for breakfast, 260 calories, but who cares, I wanted it. As lunch draws closer I find myself wondering what to eat. I have dinner already planned out, actually a recipie from this site. I will be making the Mexican Pizza Pitas for myself and my dad. Knowing whats for dinner makes the rest of the day much easier because I know what kind of calories I can take in, and still be where I want to be at the end of the day.

Day 3 Recap & Day 4

Day 3 was the start of my water goal. Unfortunatley I fell way short. I wanted 100oz, probably only got down about 70oz. But that's ok I suppose. Calorie wise I did pretty good, 1601 in - 3100 out (according to the calorie counter/activity log.) Leaving me with a deficit of 1499. Best part of this whole thing is that although I've severly cut my calorie intake, while increasing my burn, I'm not at all hungry. Which is very surprising.

Day 4 started early, right about 5:30am. Woke up and, gruggingly, went to the gym to participate in my 1st spinning class. When I got there though, it seemed to have been full. So my initial reaction was, "Sweet! I'm going to go home and go back to sleep for an hour." But alas, I didn't leave. I ran a half mile in 4:23, and probably could have continued. I've finally got myself to the point where I can run without cramping up. (Although this is Day 4 of weight loss, I've been going to the gym non-chalantly for 2 months.) After my quick warm up run I spend 28:40 seconds on the elliptical, where I burned 500 calories! I've been burning about 800 in an hour, so that 500 in 30mins is a real boost from my normal. When I woke up I ate a banana to give me a little boost to get myself going in the morning. When I got to work I poured myself a bowl of Kashi Promist Strawberry Fields, without milk though. It was delicious. Lunch will probably be another bowl (but this time with milk.) See ya'll tomorrow.

Day 2 Recap & Day 3

Let's start out with yesterday, day 2. The morning was rather lack luster, but did get some yummy strawberries and pineapple :). The day was drawn out like usual, I need to find something productive to my goal to do while sitting at work doing nothing. Lunch was left over taco bell, but only one taco, so its not like I completly shot myself in the foot on that one. Then dinner I had some chicken. After work I went to the gym, which was very productive. Ran .5 miles (90 calories), 60mins on the elliptical (880 calories), and worked sholders, tri/biceps, thighs, and pecs for about a total of 30 minutes. Total calorie burn while at the gym was upwards to 1100-1200. Total intake was 1710, burn was roughly (according to the activity calorie counter) 3536.

Today thus far hasn't really gone either way. Today I'm starting to work on my water intake, actually counting it and all that jazz. As of 1:00pm I have roughly 30oz down, I'm going to need to kick up what I'm taking in to get to my 100oz. Double work today so no gym. Tomorrow morning I will be adventuring to my 1st spinning class, and to make it even worse, its at 6:00am. Eeeek.

Day 1 & 2

Day 1:

Yesterday is the 1st day that I'm actually going to crunch the numbers and make sure things follow on track. My calorie burn was about 120 under what I wanted it to be and my calorie intake was about 100 over where I wanted it to be. But for my 1st day I think I did ok. My current goal numbers are 2200 in - 3050 out. With this I should be at 170lbs by 5-1-07 from my 201lbs current.

Day 2:

Today started off well with a little fruit for breakfast. A mix of strawberry and pineapple, and a doughnut hole (can't go cold turkey :-P.) As we draw closer to lunch time I can feel my stomach start to grumble a bit. I didn't bring the best lunch with me today, but it will be ok. After work I'll be burning about 1000 calories on my trip to the gym (I go Mon and Wed, and am currently considering going to a spinning class Friday mornings before work.)

143 Days until my target date.
