so i've been married for a year and back from my 2nd honeymoon.
yes, i've gained some weight back... i think i was so determined to lose the weight by a certain date that i was doing whatever necessary to drop the pounds, including unhealthy fad diets. this makes weight gain much easier and quicker too.
so i'm doing this again, but the right way. since february 19th, i have been going to the gym on my lunch breaks 5 times a week and staying at least 30-45 minutes with my co-worker (it's so much easier to have a workout buddy). some days i will go to the gym twice a day. i switch up the workouts and tend to do a lot of classes (body pump, combat, attack, step and then the elliptical). i just started calorie counting again; april 15th i think... but before was just trying to make healthy eating choices.
i'm just now starting to drop weight (i think i was replacing fat with muscle the first month or so, and of course now i'm really watching what i eat). i went on a cruise april 4th-9th and completely gorged and didn't work out. now i'm recovering and back on track.
my starting weight this time is 145 - 10lbs less than the last time i started. working out and keeping a good schedule has really got me firming up and looking better in the mirror (i know when i was trying to lose for the wedding, the pounds were down but the mirror image wasn't as impressive). i want to get back to 120, but slowly so i don't do it in an unhealthy way... and so the weight doesn't creep back up when i take breaks.
when i get to where i want to be - i will maintain instead of letting it go out the window. i also want to keep up a healthy lifestyle and workout schedule.
here's to doing it the right way this time!
Welcome back and congrats on the wedding+honeymoon(s)! |
thank you, thank you! :D |
