Entry getting there

I made some good choices yesterday! yay! still slipped a little do to poor planning for one and not thinking on the other. I got home and thought we would be rushing out the door and eating later so I grabbed a snack of leftover canned corn. Not a bad choice, but then we ended up eating dinner right after that, so the snack was unneccesary.  With dinner, I managed to avoid the potato chips that my bf was eating as a "side dish" but in the end had a half serving of chips and some of the dip to go with it. If I would have waited with the corn, I think I would have been able to occupy myself with that instead of the chips. Regardless, I was conscious about how many I was eating and didn't shovel. That is an accomplishment in itself.

My good choice was to get out of the house with my bf to help a friend that is demo-ing/remodeling his house instead of sitting on the couch and being tempted by those evil chips! Bad choice came when everyone decided to have a victory beer before heading home for the night. I didn't need it, didn't really enjoy it, and felt guilty as soon as I opened it! grr! I forgot to think first!

Wish me luck on my food/exercise adventures today... it is climbing night which means good exercise, but also a late dinner in which I usually negate all the exercise I just did (and then some) with a greasy cheeseburger. Tonight I vow to either order something healthier OR share the meal with my bf. That is a habit that always worked well for the two of us and we should REALLY get back into.
