Entry Woooo!
Nov 12 2009 06:59

Well, the good news: I dropped 3lbs of water weight between yesterday and today!!!!! Woo-hoo! That means I'm only 1lb away from where I was before (my original goal weight for this whole journey) and about 6lbs away from my cut goal.

The bad(ish) news: I still couldn't convince myself to get out of bed and go to the gym for HIIT. I'm never going to get to my cut weight if I don't try! So my plan is to bring my gym stuff to school with me and go to the gym before I even go home. I should only be on campus until about 3 so it won't be so bad. I examined myself pretty closely in the mirror this morning. I decided I want to lose a tiny bit of fat from my stomach (though it's looking pretty good), a tiny bit from my arms (for some reason flabby tricep areas run in my family...weird right?), and a decent amount from my thighs and underbutt. Honestly though I think 6lbs will do it. I once saw a museum exhibit where they showed 5lbs of fat in comparison to 5lbs of muscle. The fat could be about the volume I'm looking to lose. According to this article:

http://www.phentermine.com/forum/my-experience-phentermine/7 630-1-lb-fat-vs-1-lb-muscle-picture.html

1lb of muscles is the size of a baseball, and 1lb of fat is 3 times that size. I don't even think I need to lose 18 baseballs worth of fat, so that's encouraging.

In other news, I was really proud of my squats and step-ups at the gym yesterday. I dropped weight on the step-ups because I realized my form was awful and it turned out great! I also focused more on squatting parallel. I got a Facebook message from the gym guy and he said I had an impressive leg workout! I replied and said "Thanks, now if only Planet Fitness had a squat rack..." Also at the gym yesterday I saw this woman pick up 3lb dumbbells and do 1 set of bicep curls, then swing them up over her head and do some sort of modified kickbacks. I could tell she was putting in zero effort. Even before I read NROL4W I challenged myself in the gym. My problem was which exercises to do, not how heavy to lift. I just don't get why people don't realize that they won't make progress if they don't challenge themselves! It's like school or work...no effort=no progress!

Sorry so long, have a good day ladies!

try not to pick yourself apart.  I bet no one but you would notice if you lost the 5lbs.  I am up about 7lbs from my lowest weight and I swear no one can tell and people don't even beleive me when I tell them I gained weight, lol.  I do the same thing so I can't say much but, try to stop and smell the roses once in a while I am sure you look fab  :)
