Entry Ring a ding ding

It happens every other day or so. A call from someone doing a job for the money. They call us to trick interest us in the latest and greatest thing to hit the market since their last call the other day.

I wish they would stop. Yes you have a job to do. Please don't get upset and unreasonable when I decline your offer. I give you the courtesy of my time to allow you to pitch your product or service. You would do well do return that courtesy.

I either have it already or had it once before. Sometimes I just don't even want it at all. I especially like the part where I have no obligation so we'll just sign you up temporarily so that we can send you the paper work and you can make an informed decision. I don't need that. You just spent the last five minutes telling me all about the program. I get it and I don't want to get it. Thank me for your time and move along.

By the way, caller from Green Cove Spring, Florida, don't call here anymore. I am not interested in your service.

You can do what I do....just answer the phone and tell whoever it is to go straight to he**. Just kidding! I don't actually do that, but one time when the twins were just born and I was really stressed out, my mom came over to help me. The phone rang and I told her to answer it, tell whoever was calling to go straight to he** and to hang up. I was totally serious too. She loved it and teases me about it still!

we have a National do Not Call registry here.  You register your phone number(s) and within 60 ds, I think, you are on the DNC list the telemarketers get.

If they do call you and you tell them you are on the DNC list and they call again, you can sue them in my state for harassment.

Sometimes they can be pretty rude.  Those I just hang up on.  But once, I had someone call me back 5 times in like 60 secs!  I finally had to take the phone off the hook!

There are psychos out there.  I saw someone do this once...

homeowner: hello?

caller: Good evening Mr. Blah-Blah, how are you doing?

homeowner: Fine, but I'm...

caller: I'm sorry, sir, but this won;t take much time.  I'm calling to tel you that Orkin Lawn Care is runnign a special on...

homemowner: Listen, I'm in the middle of something at the moment.  Can I get your home hone number and call you later?

caller: (somewhat stumped) No, you can't have my phone number.

homeowner: What?  Do you not want me calling you at home on your personal time bothering you?

caller: silence

homeowner:  Well, me either.  (hangs up)
