well i am almost sixteen. all of my life i have been considered very skinny. and after hitting 'puberty' i have definatly grown into my body. i am 5'5 and 125 lbs. by no means am i overweight. but recently i have been really unhappy of how i feel about my body. i have been trying to cut down on what i eat and make healthier decisions, but as you all know... in highschool that isnt the easiest thing to do. i am involved with cross country, basketball, and track. the summer months are almost over (thank god) and i will hopefully be able to lose the weight faster. i have a very lean waist, and small boobs. i gain all my weight in my hips and thighs. and i have heard people make comments (ex-boyfriend) about how large my legs are. which isnt making this any easier for me. i would never be able to starve myself, i am just hopeing that someone out there can help me out. maybe give me a little advice how to make this process go a little faster. i have considered skipping breakfast, and only eating a salad or sandwich at lunch, and a very small dinner after practice. but im not sure if i should be cutting that much food out of my diet.
please help.
It's great that you have decided to make healthier habits, but I would really, really advise you to keep eating breakfast. I've heard that it really is vital for weight loss. It helps keep your metabolism going fast and strong all day, and since you are very active, it is even more important for you. Even if it's just a small bowl of cereal (such as Kashi, Fiber One, etc....), just try keeping it up :D With the eating a salad or sandwich for lunch, and a small dinner, I think you'd be a bit skimpy on the calories. I'm fifteen, also, and in my diet I have about 1500 calories a day. When I have that much, my meals are kind of like this: I hope that helped you out a little bit :] -Hannah |
