Entry P90X Round 3 Day 49: 6 mile run

Yesterday morning, I did the Kenpo-X routine.

Today, I did a relatively fast (full out effort) 6 mile run. The average pace was 9:35 minutes per mile! That's a great time for me, especially since I think I maintained a pretty good clip throughout.

It's also stopped raining for a bit, so I could run a little faster.

Here's me after the run. As you can see, I'm feeling happy.

I'm growing my beard again for Palm Sunday; I've been asked again (9th year in a row) to play Jesus at our Church's Passion Play.

Yay!!!  I was wondering if you were going to play Jesus again.  How awesome.  Get a tan on that chest so you dont have a funny shirt tan during the crucifixion scene, lol.

You're awesome!!!  Hubby gave me the money to get a Heart Rate Monitor so I need to jump on that.  And I want to go to a running store and get fitted for shoes.  Hopefully that will help with the shin splints that I get.  Either Im not wearing good enough shoes or Im running improperly.  I couldnt find running "directions" though so I dunno. 

Stay on your toes?  Run heel to toe?  Beats me.  Maybe it has nothing to do with why I get shin splints.  I know hard surfaces can be part of the problem but it is really hard to run on the sides of the road around here.  Very uneven and often large ditches.  My ankles get torqued very easily.
