Today I ended up taking my bike and lightrail to work and then biked back home at the end of the day.
All in all, it was about 18 miles of biking.
Fun!
Work is going okay. The post-move tasks are winding down and we are slowly going back to normal work.
Hope your week has been good. It's almost Friday!

Yesterday I ran 18 miles. That is the last big run before the Marathon on 4/26 (about 13 days away now!)
I am in the last recovery week, finishing off round 3 of P90X, which is actually perfect. I'm ramping the exercise down over the next two weeks, doing a lot of resting the last few days before the Sunday that I run.
That's all the news from my corner of the world.
I hope you all had a great Easter and are having a great Monday!

Yesterday, I did Kenpo-X with my daughter in the morning, then took her and my son to breakfast.
The rest of yesterday was taken up with Passion Play rehearsals and entertaining guests (did a huge barbecue meal that included salmon, chicken and beef on the grill, along with steamed veggies). Went to bed around midnight.
Today, I got up at 6AM to get ready for Church. Performed the Passion Play at the 8AM, 10AM and Noon Masses. Then picked my son up from school from his AP Biology study session and did some grocery shopping.
My Dad and brother and my brother's girlfriend visited for a while.
At around 6PM, I did this run. 6 miles in a 10:24 minutes per mile pace.
I finally get to relax a little bit this weekend. :-)
It's actually been quite a fun weekend. I hope you all had a blessed weekend too.

Did the P90X Legs and Back routine today.
Then, after work, I did this run.
Work has been a little crazy, since we just moved from our old building to a new site.
TGIF!
Have a great weekend, everyone!

Yesterday, I chose to substitute the Stretch-X routine for the Shoulders and Arms routine. My body really needed that after Sunday's 20 mile run.
Today, I did Plyometrics in the morning before worrk. My daughter Katherine joined me again. She went through more of the DVD this time than last time, so her stamina is getting better.
We are moving the office this week. I anticipate many problems, but we'll get it done.
I hope you are all having a great week.
Edit: Also did a nice 3 mile run at a 10 minute per mile pace today.

That run was fracking hard!
The last week I have been recovering from a really annoying cold, so I decided to not run and I also did not do the P90X workouts. Just slept more, drank vitamin enriched juices, good food, continued the no caffeine and no artificial sweeteners.
So, this run was my first since the 6 mile run I did at the beginning of my cold while I still could breathe well enough to run.
I started a little after 11AM and ran the 20 miles.
Here's my run.
About 10 miles of the run was up and down very very steep hills. That's what killed my legs.
At mile 17, I hit the wall. I never really knew what that expression meant till today. I hit the wall. I could barely move my feet, my calves were starting to cramp, so I took a long long break and stretched out before running the remaining 3 miles.
My overall time: 13:30 minutes per mile.
I'm happy with that.
Now to rest for a bit before I go grocery shopping and off to Church.

I have a cold.
I did this 6 mile run anyway.
Am I crazy?
I'm going to take a shower and take a nap, then go to Church.
I hope your weekend has been a great one!

Today's workout was Legs and Back + Ab Ripper X.
I just did a 4 mile run too. It was a pretty relaxed but hilly run and I wasn't pushing for speed.
I'm looking forward to the BSG Finale tonight!
Have a great weekend, my friends.

Today's workout was supposed to be Yoga-X. Instead, I went to a live and in person Pilates/Yoga class. Got the same basic benefits. I feel taller and more flexible.
My left knee is feeling a little tweaky (not quite in pain, but in that pre-pain zone if that makes any sense) so I'm going to put off today's 3-4 mile run off till tomorrow.
On the American Idol front, I'm happy that Anoop is in the final 10.
It's almost Friday.

Today's P90X workout was Plyometrics.
I had some extra-curricular fun at work today. I picked up my son from school and took him to the Los Gatos rotary club, where his team of High School juniors were presenting their winning product idea from the Enterprise Leadership Conference.
Afterwards, he was with me at work.
I did my 4 mile run in the afternoon, and came back to this creative solution to an obvious problem:

Anyhow. That's all for now.
Looking forward to American Idol tonight!
