So I have started running on the treadmill. The first few times I ran I was practically immobile for days afterwards. But what would you expect I was trying to run while in the 230's. So I am in the 2teens and have decided to try running again. This is my second week attempting to run. The first attempt was me walking for a minute and a half and then running for thirty seconds, and I was able to do this for 15 minutes. The next time I ran, was 5 days later and I was able to walk for a minute fifteen seconds and run for forty five seconds. I was able to do this for 20 minutes. I was able to run again four days later. Friday I ran for the same intervals, a minute fifteen walk then forty five seconds running, and was able to keep this up for 30 minutes, over 2 miles. Today I was able to run again, and did the same intervals but able to do it for 45 minutes, 3.1 miles, or a 5k. I'm so proud of myself. This weekend I will be taking part in a virtual 5k and am hoping to keep my time to below 45 minutes for a 5k. Today I did 5k in 45:07. The first 5k I participated in took me 57 minutes...I could only walk it.
I need to thank Clarence for helping me, he made me buy some knee supports which are helping tremendously, I can walk after running now. THanks hun.
