Entry I feel great!... until the end of the day.
Nov 11 2009 20:09

So I've been doing the low-cal calorine counting thing for a few days, and well - I feel amazing.  My weight hasn't budged a gram, but I swear I feel lighter already.  Not to mention, my sleep has improved tremendously... suddenly, I'm not tired anymore.

So... the issue for me has been dinner.  I eat well all day, and feel comfortably full.  But then 6/7pm rolls around, and it's not that I feel hungry, but I feel like I'm missing something: meat. So far, my breakfast and lunch choices have been meat-free (albeit protein enriched via nuts, soy, fake meat, beans, etc).

This weird "craving" has led to overeating (kinda... not like it used to be, but definitely pushes me over the calorie limit) for the past 2 days.  Solution: meat.

So hopefully this works.  Meat for breakfast, or meat for lunch... and I'll make it to the end of the day under my 1,330 calories.

On the plus, I've gotten all As and Bs on my eating so far (even with the dinner slip-ups), and am giving myself a gold star:

I was given a meal plan to follow (hard to do with 1200 calories)

breakfast
- 1 protein
- 1 fat
- 1 carb
- 1 fruit
- 1 dairy

Snack
- 1 fruit
- 1 protein
- 1 fat

Lunch:
- 2 protein
- 2 carb
- 1 fat
- 1 fruit & lots of veggies

Snack
- 100-150 calories of choice

Supper
- 1 protein
- 1 carb
- 2 fats
- veggies

if  hungry at night, dairy product is the way to go.

I obviously don't eat as much, but I try to stay within the limits, I only eat fruit in the morning, I have protein at least 3 times/day. I too have problems at night, because I want to eat EVERYTHING. I start my day really early, I eat breakfast at 6, snack at 9, lunch at 11-11:30, afternoon snack at max 2... then supper isn't until 6-7 and at that point i'm dying of hunger. lol

This is a great guide - thank you!

I am definitely eating more than 1200 cals - I'm testing the waters at around 1400, it seems to be a good fit for me, although I still am going a little over.

I have the same problem with dinner, too.  I usually work until around 6/7, so I've just been bringing lunch and dinner to work with me to avoid getting super hungry.
