Entry New Job!
Nov 09 2009 19:51

I had my first day at my new job today. It was a great first day. The perks and flexibility of this job are outstanding (esp. compared with the company I just left). The role is so perfect for my background and after today, I think I will actually be able to be productive sooner than I thought. The team I am joining seems wonderful and I think I'm going to be very happy working with them. Eating for today was ok, I didn't count calories and we went out to lunch - chicken sandwich and a few handfuls of sweet potato fries, I guess that's not so bad? I need to get a better handle on my eating because the scale was up  to a number I am no longer comfortable with. It has been harder getting myself to the gym. I will just need to power through this lack of motivation because not going is not an option. Today marks one month straight of lifting weights! I'm quite proud, I haven't been able to make it past 2 weeks on any set "routine". I will lift tonight late to hopefully avoid the meathead crowd. I will lift again Wednesday for certain and then again either Friday or Saturday. Tuesday I play softball and Thursday I WILL do at LEAST 30 minutes of cardio. Ok there, it's in writing. It's a plan. I need to and will stick to it.

wow sounds like this was meant to be for you.  As for the gym, your life got shaken up a bit lately, I bet once you settle into the job it'll become easier to make it a habit once again.

Great job!

Glad to hear good news about the job! dplatzer is right, once you settle into a routine you'll get back on track. Plus if you've been lifting, the extra weight is more than likely muscle. Remember that! Hope work today goes just as well. :)

So happy you like your new job! I am glad it all worked out. I love sweet potato fries! And I tell myself they are better than regular ones haha

Don't settle into the job routine and THEN try getting to the gym. Make the gym a part of the new routine and you'll be SET!

Glad to hear you have such positive reviews of the new job and people. Sounds terrific!
