packed up and ready to go

Hubby and I went ahead and packed the truck tonight except for last minute over night bags that we put in with essentials in case of deciding to stop at a hotel at the last minute instead of driving straight through the 19 hrs. most likely we won't stop, but if we have to then just grab two bags and go.  the hurricane Ida, now below trop storm status is still toying with our psyche making us ride the I don't know if I should go now or wait a couple of days roller coaster.  they are pretty sure that it will probably go florida's way if it does get into the gulf, but one knows if one has had to deal with tropical systems that the main thing is... it ain't over till it's over.  I had prayed that it would go on in to central america take the turn and play out. so far worse case scenarios are playing out. not that this will be a major hurricane or anything... but  gosh who would have thought one would blow up out there in nov. ugh!!!!!  Hopefully the Lord will be with us and if we go things will go ok and it won't come our way. I don't think it will be a big one for anyone( so I am not wishing any bad luck on anyone.( I just hope that ma c.-my mother - in-law ) does not hear about a hurricane out there that "might get into the gulf", she will flip her lid if we are gone)... the main thing I worry about is that now they say we have mandatory evac.'s in texas- which we have never had before.(remember we are 100 miles inland from the coast). basically with rita, and Ike we were better off staying at home and we knew that we would be on our own for at least a week( probably less- but we planned for a week) with no emer. help or whatever. we were ok with that. now they say if they do call a mandatory evac. that you "have to leave" but I don't know how they will push that .  anyway guess we will go on and leave tomorrow and hope for the best and pray we don't get burned on this one. ( if not for worrying about ma being here with the sitter we would not even be thinking about this).this is a small system anyway not huge like Ike. maybe it will break up over cuba.. who knows. I don't want to sit here until wed. next week waiting to see what is going to happen and lose over 1/4 of our vac. hopefully ida won't come this way...  everybody send good energy our way for things to go right..... thanks
