So i have managed to get my calories up from 806 yesterday to 908 today. Is this healthy? i feel like i'm eating just fine, i'm full. it's like i was eating over 2,000 a day, now i cant even make it to 1,000. It's just i've been eating more the right things. I actually pay attention to measurements now, and listen to my body when it tells me it's not hungry.
I didn't do any exercise today because i am in pain from yesterday. eventually i will be able to do it every day. I plan even if i'm still sore to do it tomorrow.
That's all for now.
Some people would freak out over this and getting the 1200 a day thing... I would just watch your averages, and if you average out for the week at 1200 a day its ok. Also, dont make your calorie deficit too big or you could feel run down, headaches, etc. There are all kinds of higher calorie things if you just need a boost in the evening. When I first started I was the same and for calorie boosts I would do a protein drink for like 120 calories. I didnt do it too often and it took about 1.5 months to use up a 1 lb bag. It maybe had something to do with my no desire for the flavor :) also, on days when I know my calories will be down I add cheese and regular dressing to my salads for some calorie boost also. |
yes that makes sense. If at the end of the week i find myself to far below on my calorie intake i can start to add stuff. my biggest thing is i am skipping meals, not on purpose, but just because i'm not hungry. if i was eating lunch then it would make a difference. i'm thinking i need to add like an apple or something in during the day. |
try getting your body used to a good breakfast, a well proportioned lunch, and a good dinner around 6pm. It took me two weeks to get into a good rhythm of things but your body will appreciate it later. you need to eat more if you're working out since you need the energy. and if you continue to have such a low count then unavoidably you'll go into starvation mode and gain weight instead of losing. you need at least 1200 to perform everyday functions (sorry it's my anatomy and physiology class talking lol lol ) |
Add some olive oil to pad your calories. |
yes it's 10:09pm and i'm only at 686. and i'm logging everything, the oil i use to cook, i'm even bringing the measurements up an extra ounce. i just get full. and then it's like i could sit here and eat 4 Hershey's kisses for 100 calories, but it's like i don't want to put it in my body. like the more aware i've become, the less junk that i want to eat. |
