I would have a 450 calorie deficit but I am going to have a protein shake tonight instead of my usual 60 calorie snack :)
I haven't had a protein shake in a long time and now that I am doing INSANITY I think I could use it after the workouts.  I am not sure how I used to do it.
I built the protein shake into my 1200 calorie diet and to do that now, I would have to cut all my snacks out.
I tried to go back in my food logs to when I was doing that, but I can't go back that far now.
When did that change? I used to be able to go back to when I started in 2007!

For me though, 290 is a pretty decent deficit.

Well, I did INSANITY tonight after a 3 day break. Wow.
It's like starting over :)

Total Calories Burned 1510 (280 during the workout)
Total Calories Eaten   1240
Deficit  270

My arms are going to be sore tomorrow. I did tons of push ups (for me, at least :).

I am not yet seeing the difference on the scale or in the fit of my clothes, but I FEEL the difference, in that, I feel good.
So, hopefully things will all fall in place soon.

Time to take off the sweaty clothes and settle in to relax.

Well, today was Cardio Recovery day and I needed it :)
It was a nice workout.  36 minutes of deep stretching.  I only burned 160 calories compared to 300 during the usual cardio workouts of INSANITY, but that's fine by me.
In fact, I snuck a piece of garlic bread at dinner, so today ended up being a maintenance day.
So, I think that I will be MORE than energized tomorrow night to do Cardio Power & Resistance.
Last time I did that I only burned 269 calories, so I am hoping to break 300 tomorrow. (I broke 300 last night, so I KNOW it's possible!)

That's it for me.
I am gonna go and settle in to watch some Grey's Anatomy.

Well, so far, each time I have done the INSANITY workout, I have been able to do more reps, and I am burning a few more calories each time.
I started off (just last week) burning 268 calories in 40 minutes.
This week I am burning 302 calories in 42 minutes.  So, progress is being made.
I still feel like I am gonna die when I am done, but it's all good Wink

I am finding that this time around I am not being very social on CC.

Feel free to stop reading now. What follows is a little rant about my current job and my distain for it. (just had to get it out :)

I have been very disenchanted with my job for a long time.
I left a management position to go into this support role in a Corporate Tech recruiting dept.  I thought it would be a great stepping stone into what I THOUGHT I wanted to do - corporate recruiting.
Well, I don't.
I miss my old job as an Ops Supervisor. I hired, fired, interviewed, recruited truck drivers and was a client contact.
I loved the diversity of that job. The problem was it was a small company without a lot of growth potential.
The company I am at now is larger, and there WOULD be growth there, if that is what I wanted.
I decided I don't like recruiting and dealing w/ corporate white collar folk.
I loved recruiting and supervising the blue collar, warehouse workin', 4 letter word sayin' folk. (more my type :)

My supervisor asked me today 'what would you like to do here that we can give you more opportunity to do?' and I couldn't think of a damn thing.
That sucks.

I guess I should be happy - I have a job.  I just don't really care for it.
Oh well.

I was all set to do Day #3 of Insanity (Cardio recovery), but forgot that we had an informational session at Chandler's school for a program he was invited to join.
It's the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth.
Only kids in the top 95% or above are invited to test for it and he was one of them.
I am very proud. It looks cool.  He has to take their assessment test and if he scores well he is able to take classes online, go on trips, etc.

Anyway, I was home late and not able to work out. It is probably a good thing, since I am still sore :) but, I will pick it back up tonight.

I started "Insanity" today.  Yesterday was the Fit Test, but today was the first real workout.
OMG.
It's definitely INSANE. If cardio is not your thing, do not try this!
I LOVE cardio and thought I was in pretty good shape, but this kicked my ass (and I loved it :).

Exercise - 41 minutes (not straight through though - I had to rest :)
I burned 268 calories during it which is great for me. If I had done the whole thing straight through and at 100%, it would have easily been over 300-325.

But, at least it isn't spinning when I open my eyes anymore :)
In other words, the vertigo is gone, gone gone.  Woo hoo.
I hate that I lost a week's worth of exercise.
I did decently keeping in calorie range though.
AND, I lost a pound when I weighed in today for the workplace challenge.
So, all is good.

Not very impressive (yes, I know, the protein is low.....LOL) but here are the facts:
