Entry New pics....

I took some new pics last night to track my progress, and despite all the candy I've consumed over the last few days (about 50 pieces I'm not even kidding), I'm still pleased overall with my progress after 2 years. At 31, I'm beginning to accept what my body will be and what it will never be. I am reevaluating my goals right now to determine where I want to be physically in the next 2, 5 and 10 yrs.

For instance: my abs/core. I'm very happy that I don't look like the rest of the guys in my family (because everybody seems to have a beer gut); however, I really hate to use them as my "abs compass". I mean, I'm not satisfied in terms of my muscle definition in that area like I am with my shoulders and arms, however I am pleased with the amount of fat that I have sticking to me. It's there, but it's not insane. Do I want a six pack with muscles popping? Sure I do, but given genetics, my age, and the fact that my wife could care less, I'm not sure that it's ever going to happen or if it's possible. Maybe it could if I spent more time in that area, but once my abs start to burn like hell, I'm done for the night. I'm not going to risk getting a hernia for washboard abs. 10 yrs ago? Yes, but not now. For some reason cardio melts the fat off of other parts of my body faster than my abs. Who knows? I will keep working at it to keep the "gut" away, at minimum. I'm still better than I was two years ago, so that is progress.

Doc appt this afternoon to find out if I have high blood pressure or not. I've been taking reading at home at my average BP is 128/78, which I don't think is too bad, but I will let her be the judge since she holds the medical license. Something is going on though and I'm not sure what it is. I think, actually I know for sure, that I'm not drinking enough water. My Men's Health magazine said I should be drinking 4 qts of water per day. Yeah right. I probably only drink about 2, if that, and most often not straight water, but coffee, tea, etc... But my left hand and arm have been a bit shaky for the past month and I'm not sure what it is. I notice it more at the gym than anywhere else. It's not affecting my workout routine, but I'm still bothered by it. My grandfather had Parkinson's so that is always in the back of my mind, God forbid.

It's "wine night" tonight for my wife and all her gf's, so I'll be flying solo with the kids again. Cracks me up when they are watching cartoons and I'm on the floor in front of them doing crunches and then they get down on the floor with me and try to do them too. It's so cute.

you look good!  Washboard abs signal a gym obsession to me anyhow!  I think as long as your logging the candy its okay, I mean it only happens like twice a year (assuming you celebrate Easter).  And its less for the kiddos to turn into maniacs from haha.  The ab thing is cute- this morning I was briskly walking up the staris for the subway and this little boy was walking with his mom and starting running to keep up with me.  I thought it was adorable and I didn't even know him!

Damn, mfonzie looking good! Washboard abs are a matter of bodyfat and is really hard to do/ maintain. I can see your abs now (in the pic at least). You should be so proud! You look great! Your kids are so cute haha
