My son's wedding was last Saturday. The wedding and reception were held in our backyard.  We worked for a solid 2 weeks cleaning and building a waterfall. We built 2 pergolas in the past 2 months.  I can finally enjoy my beautiful back yard.

Entry Trying a little harder

I quit for awhile. Just didn't feel like trying.  I'm back and in a better frame of mind.  The wedding is in 2 months. Nothing like dress shopping to make you want to lose weight. I have 8 weeks with a goal of 15 pounds.  My daughter has lost nearly 20 pounds and looks really nice in her dress.  I'm busy with yard work.  We've almost finished a pergola and have one more to build along with a waterfall.  Big dreams, little money but I think we will get it done.

Today I am at 198.  I have seen as low as 195.5 but I have not "exercised" all week.  I have been getting our home ready to be appraised so we can refinance. I've been painting, laying tile and cleaning. I guess that's exercise but the pounds are not coming off.  My daughter, however, is doing fantastic!  She does the stair stepper every day for an hour.  She started at 183 and is now 167. I'm really proud of her. She has P.E. this trimester so that will help even more.  I think she'll be about 150 by the end of school.  Now it is my turn to get busy, I've wasted too much time.  I will do the stepper then finish the tile. uggghhh. Good day.

I weigh 199.5 today. That is 3.5 pounds down from my high.  I realized that I am not very hungry in the morning because I eat too late at night.  I am going to try to limit myself to water after 8 p.m.  Once I start eating in the morning, I just keep going. I have to change that habit if I am going to get this weight off.

I walked 3 miles in 55 minutes.  My goal is 3 miles every morning.  I'm feeling pretty good lately. My daughter has lost 9 pounds, going from 182 to 173.  She's on fire with the treadmill.  We watch the biggest loser and she walks on the treadmill while she watches.  She could be 155 by the wedding in June.  That would be great!

Entry I'm hopeful

Yesterday I walked 3.3 miles in an hour and today I did the same in 50 minutes! I'm feeling good about that.  I'm considering buying an elliptical machine. maybe. I don't know if I can commit to use it to make it worth it, but, I think my daughter would use it.  

The sun is shining today and I am feeling less anxious.  I am getting excited about spring!

I like food.  Chocolate is the best/worst. Last summer I swore of chocolate and I felt so much better. Now, it has it's hold on me again.  Addiction. Plain and simple.  I can exercise, I know I can do that. Today I walked/jogged 3 1/2 miles in 61 minutes, that averages a 17 1/2 minutes per mile.  That's really good for me. Last summer I was doing an average 16 minute mile.  If I could just get this addiction under control, I would be okay.  I actually get headaches if I don't get some chocolate. 

I need sunshine, too.  I take flaxseed oil and vitamin D in the hopes that it will help with my winter depression.  I know if I ate healthy, my anxiety issues would lessen and I would feel so much better in general.  Flaxseed is supposed to help with my asthma, too.  Okay, I know what I have to do, it is just a matter of doing it. I have to start now if I want to be in a size 12 dress at my son's wedding, which I do! 

I'm going to keep track of my measurements, too.Cry  Here I go

Entry What's up? My weight!

My scale is all over the place the last few days.  I'm feeling good but pulled something in my leg since I am opposed to stretching.Wink  It makes it diffiult to even finish a mile. I am going to try to do 2 miles today.  It's sunny and nice outside today, opened the windows and let in some fresh air. Nice!

Entry I have to get busy!

I have decided not to do the allergy shots. My doctor's don't think they are necessary and neither do I.  I walk 2 miles every morning and did another mile in the afternoon yesterday. That's still 2 miles less than lass summer.   I am at 200 lbs which I have never seen unless I was 9 months pregnant.  That's a blow to the self esteem.  My son is getting married the end of June and I want to be a size 12.  I need to lose 35 pounds which means 7 lbs per month. That's reasonable if I work at it.  I really need to watch my diet. It's my daughter's 14th birthday today so I will have the cake but no ice cream. I know that's not enough, but, I'm not ready to forego it just yet.  I need to get my head in the game and that's the hard part.

Entry 3.25 miles

I walked 2.5 miles in 45 minutes. I did another 3/4 miles later in 15 minutes. My 13 year old daughter has decided she will be my trainer. She has been doing the treadmill and lunges for about a month now.  I'm a little afraid of her. Just Kidding.  Anyway, feels good to be doing something!
