Well, it's done. Supposedly they will call me with results in the next 2 weeks or so, and I won't have to repeat that unpleasant (and painful) experience for another year. The physician's assistant agreed that I am "very narrow" and that it was bound to hurt more than usual. EEEP! Ya think? She was very nice and understanding and mentioned that it's not uncommon for people like me (incest survivors) to shy away from these sorts of medical appointments. Anyway, over and done with ... fingers crossed for good results. (And thanks for all the comments and support, peeps!)
I only got about 2 hours of sleep last night, so will be turning in early this evening. Today was not my healthiest eating day .... but my blood sugars were fine this afternoon. My wonderful DH took me out to dinner tonight to celebrate my first Pap test -- and our little August heat wave of 108 degrees -- he DOES have a great sense of humor, huh? Woo hoo ... tomorrow is cooling down to a brisk 103!!! We have no specific plans for the weekend other than to do general "get ready to be deployed back to the desert" sort of stuff.
And swimming.

well done! and hubby is really good! hey you have to grab every reason to have a nice dinner with your wife in a restaurant... |
You are so brave!!! Go, Molly, GO!!!!!! |
Glad it's behind you and good for you for being brave. Have a great weekend. |
Glad the experience is behind you. Fingers crossed everything turns up normal. Enjoy your weekend! |
Well, now that that is over... you are getting close tot he age of a mamogram. ;) I had to start those at 30, Bad history here. and the pap, that was introduced at 16. (YEAH ME)Uncomfortable but it is over fast. ;) Glad the dinner was fun and it makes it all the better that hubby has a great since of humor. My kids will be getting a few things out to your hubby here soon. Love,Hugs Jenn |
Whew... glad it's over for you. The dread can hurt as much as the actual experience. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you too. You should get the results soon and then you'll be good to go another year. Mammograms aren't as bad if you haven't had one of those. I'm getting one next Friday to check on some soreness I've had. You are truly blessed to have such a wonderful supportive husband. |
If you don't feel like your cholesterol is high, no worries, right? Wrong. High cholesterol gives no warnings and could be deadly.
