Random comments and thoughts on a Tuesday evening ....
1. I wish giant, scary bugs would stop bugging me. The latest flying creature was 4 inches long and my neighbor's husband graciously spent 15 minutes last night battling it in the garage as I shrieked. Then today there was a big scary black beetle in my swimming pool. (He is now an "ex-beetle.")
2. I ordered 2 pair of shorts online today, one pair in lime green and one pair in pink. I have lime green tennies and lime green Crocs, as well as pink tennies and pink Crocs. I shall match in my summertime bohemian-casual look, lol!
3. We've signed up for a 3-week summer foreign exchange student thing. If we pass all the tests and whatnot, we will be getting a 16-year-old boy named Pierre from France.... he'll be here July 13-August 1. The plan is to take two 3-day trips with him, one to San Francisco and one to Monterey/Carmel. (Both places cooler than Fresno in July, ick ick ick!)
4. I gave my cats catnip and now they are all zonked out, and hungover-sprawled all over the family room, lol.
5. My wonderful DH called today from Iraq and reported that last night, as he was taxi-ing his plane after landing and heading back to the hangar, he stopped on the runway to let a bunny family hop across. YAY! He's pretty observant and pretty sweet. We like bunnies.
6. I have no plans for Memorial Day Weekend.... and that rather bums me out. And I really don't want to have to call friends and say, "my husband is deployed and I'm alone for yet another holiday ... play with me! play with me! play with me!"
7. I love cats. I hate scooping cat boxes. 'Nuff said.
8. Can someone here please make my across-the-street neighbor STOP wandering around and doing chores in his (open) garage IN HIS UNDERWEAR!!?!? And, no, he is not wearing festive boxers.... he's wearing white briefs. And he wears them every morning to get his newspaper, and on Saturdays to check his curb-side mail box.
Glad to see you post! How is the weight loss journey coming along for you? I don't have facebook so I know nothing that is going on with you. Are you still a moderator? And how long is Ron gone? Pretty neat you may get another exchange student! I know it can be lonely without hubby but just hang in there and await his calls and I know you will, With SMILES> take care and God Bless. |
Good to hear from you Molly. He stopped his ride for bunnies? That is so sweet. I stopped for a skunk last week and I thought for sure that the car behind me was going to hnk his horn. Hey if your F.E.S. doesn't work out can I be your F.E.S.? |
Hi Molly! Good to see you post! Hope all is going well with you, and glad to hear the hubby is still able to keep in touch. I'd totally hang out with you for Memorial day :)

Glad to hear from you! How has the weight loss journey been going? That is so sweet that he stopped for the bunnies.

We already knew he was Special-- but that's gotta' make him EXTRA-Special!!!! Glad he got you, Dear Molly-- he might be Good Enough to Deserve You!-- with all your EXTRA-Specialness! I'm SURE he feels he has the GREATEST!!! Glad you're here!!! I miss ya' Severely!!! (Especially your Wonderful Pictures...) CC seems smaller without you! |
EWWW, when you talked about YOUR neighbor in briefs, I thought about MY neighbor in briefs. Ug...nearly lost my breakfast! Having an exchange student sounds cool (I could do a few weeks --months might get old.) Super-cool that you heard from your ever so considerate DH. My SS is in Afganistan. We've gotten 3 emails in 2 months. He tells his dad he's been looking both ways before crossing the street. lol. |
Look on the bright side. The sight of that neighbor could serve as an excellent appetite suppressant, and it's free.

Lots of people would love to play with you! Call and scare up some moral support;) We like bunnies too and would stop for them...now squirrels that's a whole another story! ;) Cmora (proud Navy wife) |
I will totally play with you, you just have to come dancing or try BJJ! I hear you on the bugs! Plus the neighbor in the tighty whiteys! So sweet on the bunny... I used to have a LitterMaid automatic cat box...it worked really well when I had a furbaby...well worth it to not have to constantly scoop cat boxes. |
Hahahaa clairlane! Good to see you here Molly. Hope your spring has gone well for you. |
augh! icky neighbors in their icky skivvies! BRAINSCRUB! :) please keep us posted on the exchange student developments, i'm guessing by "short" deployment that Ron will be back in time for this? chin up and, i know it's late, but i hope you had a good holiday weekend. |
I'm just returning on my journey to get this weight off. I had to check out to see if you was still posting. I always enjoyed reading yours. Your always doing things. Sorry to hear your husband is over in Iraq again. I really got a kick out of your problem with your neighbor running around in his undershorts. You should make up a postcard of a guy in his undershorts and make a red circle with a red slash across it and send it to him. No....you better not. If he knows you very well, he'll know it came from you. :-) |
