It was 106 on Saturday.
It was 108 on Sunday.
It's forecast for 108 today.
It's forecast to be 103 Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday-Friday.
I'M MELTING!!!!
I tried to spend a lot of time in the pool yesterday, slathered in sunscreen. Now I'm really sunburned, despite my efforts. Any my "time of the month" started today like Niagara Falls. So I'm crampy, cranky, hot and bloated.
Ugh.
Anyway, how's everyone else?
Well, it's 79 degrees and feels like...80. lol. Doin' fine, really. Great walking weather and things are growing like crazy. I'm trying to think of grass mowing as exercise! I believe rain is in the forecast for the rest of the week so I better enjoy today. We've actually had a pretty cool and rainy June. Sorry about that. |
LOL i can only imagine. i get hot when it's 70. i asked hubby before walking this morning if he knew the temp. 63, he answered. i wore my shorts & tank top anyway. it was just right! :D |
Welll... it's Hot here in Mississippi.... high 90's... but not THAT Hot!!! Youchy on the sunburn-- you sure didn't deserve that! I'm Happy though...I did a Polar HRM Fitness Test today, and improved from 21-22 and Poor Fitness, to 35 and GOOD Fitness!!! It tops my old 34 Good Fitness level of the past, too! I can't exercise outside, with the heat, so I started a walking track inside-- seriously!!! I Did!!! AND... it's really working! My house has a center I can walk, of 85 feet one way... walking it both directions is a circuit for me... as I walk, I have a Lovely Crystal bowl-- Heart shaped-- that is filled with iridescent glass rocks by the eastern door at the end of my walking circuit, on top of an old Treadle Sewing Machine cabinet... each circuit, I place another rock out on the cabinet in rows of 10 until I reach 100 rocks for 100 circuits-- then do a 101 Victory Circuit to finish! It's FUN! Yes... I'm Crazy! Yes... ya'll already Knew THAT! However... it's WORKING!!! I'm losing... my Fitness has gone up from poor to good, and I'm having FUN!!! AND... I haven't been doing it long at all, either... I was adding stair climbs, but my knees say don't yet-- need to lose some more weight first. My Nordic Skier is my substitute that I couldn't handle before-- but I'm improving fast and now I can use it and save my knees... I'm using an Omron pedometer to measure and log my steps on my computer, and it has smiley/sad faces to urge you to get your 10,000 steps a day-- it really provokes me to walk! My circuits are really making the 10,000 pretty easy-- so, if you have anywhere indoors that you can walk, it DOES accomplish more than you might expect! Without cookin' ya'!!!! Diabolical cats are another story, though! How do they KNOW exactly where to lay so you have to step over them with every circuit???? 101 times ain't sa'Funny!!!! Hope you feel much better fast, Molly!!!!! |
Sorry you're in a heat wave! It's beastly here, too. It threatens to rain on us every day, then it rolls on by. ugh, indeed. |
P. S.-- Correction... Cats = 202 times... twice each circuit, lol!!! Grrr!!! |
Molly-- thinkin' 'bout all your Lovely Kitty Friends and walking around/over them... does CC have a Calorie Burn number for Cat-Jumping...??? I usually contend with ONE cat at a time... You might have a much more interesting/exhausting exercise session with your many Happy Kitties! |
