Entry Weight loss doesn't make any sense...but I won't complain for now
Sep 29 2008 09:18

Alright, so I was exercising regularly and eating 1400 calories a day.  I lost three pounds the first week, then on the second week I didn't lose anything.

This past week I increased my daily calorie limit to 1600 and I'm still exercising and I lost 3 pounds.  These past few days I've been weighing myself and I noticed that I have been down POINT something of a pound each day.

I don't get it.  I was suffering like crazy eating 1400 a day (believe me 1600 isn't a feast either) and now that I eat more, I lose more...

I'll probably write a journal in a week crying that I've gained weight.  Who knows.   It seems pretty random.

When the body feels it is starving...

Sometimes the weight loss stops if your body goes into "starvation mode".  You need to have enough calories to survive each day, especially with exercise burning them up.

Or you may have been drinking more water to make up for those 200 less calories.

I find I can fluctuate from one day to the next just based on being a bit dehydrated one day, then making up for it the next...

Just keep it healthy!
