This week a friend sent an email with a link to Calorie-Count and I'm finding it to be so helpful. I'm learing how to enter foods - yeah!! . I've joined and last night my grandson added the tool bar so I can see my Eat Meter while at the computer blogging! I'm in a Weight War this summer and I'm losing. A group of my friends who paint together, Canvas by Canvas, decided we needed to lose some weight. We were eating in a local barbecue joint and looked around and everyone was large, then we looked at ourselves and decided we could stand to lose a few. Those participating each threw $50 into the pool and there will be a nice little roll of cash awaiting Sept. 4, 2007 when we have our weigh-in. One in the group has already lost 15 lbs. I think I've lost maybe 6 or 7 and we're calculating the win on % lost and I'm larger to begin with. Now it's time to get serious during the month of August and I need to lose 3 lbs. per week. I think the Calorie-Count community may be what I need. One of the group joined Weight Watchers last week. I belonged after I retired in 2000 and lost 20 lbs. but I'd added it back and I didn't want the expense or a fixed schedule. There is great information here and it's free.
I've written a question about the best way to print out a recipe as I didn't see a Print Here button so I guess it's copy and paste and print. Contact said they'd get back to me with the answer. There is so much good information here it will take awhile to digest.
