I woke up to a thunderstorm again. The rain makes me nostalgic for better days.........
I got home from the game around 9 last night. Ate a sensible dinner, did not drink too much and went to bed by 11 like a good girl.
I got up around 8, rode the bike 10 miles/35 minutes/300 cals burned and lifted Bowflex until I thought my arms were going to fall off. I am trying to up my weights slowly, but I can;t seem to get many reps when I make the resistance higher, so I'm working on it.
Big plans for today include getting the house ready for the party J decided to have Thursday, laundry, grocery shopping to feed people, and try to have a good time tonight. J's bday is tomorrow....... I did not make any real effort to buy him anything thoughtful afte the anniversary debacle, so he is getting a check. He already bough himself 3 wide screen new computer monitors, so my $$ will go towards that, I guess... At least he likes it. sigh.
If you missed my late afternoon journal yesterday, go rent the movie ONCE ASAP. it is so good. ( :

fix healthy foods for the party, so that is ok for me too

My dads birthday is monday and I will probably just give him money as well. I know it FEELS like a cop-out, but sometimes I'd rather just get money than try to figure out what I want and what not, so that makes me feel better lol. Also just to let you know, lifting HIGHER weight and Less reps builds more muscle than lifting LESS weight and more reps. |
oh. now i have to get the movie. you know the girl in the movie is czech like me, and there has been so much publicity around this and yet i have not seen it:) |
You know, seeing you putting a work-out on your to-do list every day (and then doing it) really inspires me. I guess I'd better go to gym later:p |
I know I'm late but... Don't worry about the low reps. A lot of sources recommend women to stop thinking that lower weights and higher reps are what they should be doing. Plus... knowing you (always so tough on yourself) low reps probably means like 6-10, which is actually a really good amount. =)
