Traveling and the additional pounds packed on

Keeping to the calories when I travel is really a challenge. It really tempting with friends and family to get into a rut of eating for entertainment. At least I identified the problem! Now to find the solution. Number one is exercise! As far as food and beverages - Hmmmm.. Green tea I can bring with me. Eating salads like crazy is good too. Balancing the carbs with the protein, with an emphasis on the protein intake is also a positive step. Staying away from the sugar was next. That actually was the second big "no no" that I did while visiting. It became a really bad habit that put back on the pounds that I worked so hard to lose! Ah well, there's always today to set things right. As long as I remain committed, and make the right changes, I'll do okay!

Another day of learning common sense things for my weight loss. Comments are welcome.

It's finally setting in...I have to work at it

6 days into counting calories, 4 pounds lost, and keeping it off so far.... Last night I pigged out a little and had a few snacks but it counts more because I have been so sedentary! I need to get on the treadmill for just 30 minutes. I don't care if I just look at catalogs or read something and walk slow, just to get my body moving! I'm not going to keep losing and look very good if I don't exercise. It helps my mood too. Anybody else here suffer from depression....getting moving is the problem. I have to force myself! It's okay after I start. Green tea seems to be helping some too.

Going Pretty Well

Yes! I feel like I'm on track with the counting of calories. Even my husband is starting to snack on healthy food, fruit and such. The only thing I am noticing is that I'm actually way below the amount that is my target on calories. I'll just keep in mind that it is going to fluctuate at times, and keep the goal of healthy weight loss in mind, balanced with exercise.
