i have been relatively happy lately. my desire to become strong again has grown and manifested in new and exciting ways, such as walking more and buying fresh fruits and vegetables. i also bought the 200 under 200 Hungry Girl book. it's full of wonderful ideas. but right now, i am eating some cherries and grapes and trying to come to terms with the fact that certain foods harm me and weaken me. [chocolates, fats, sugars and white flours] i have a lot more energy lately and i attribute this late night/early morning post to my increased energy.
we signed the contract on our new house and hopefully we'll be home-owners within the month. truly awesome. i am so blessed nd i want to continue to show my joy at this fact.
right now, though, i just hope i can calm my mind down enough to rest. i have to be up in 5 hours!
I want to thank you sooooo much for the lovely comments you posted in my journal. It was so thoughtful of you. And, I AM proud that I've only gotten carried away with the pizza a couple of times since I re-started my diet on May 23rd. I'm still down 28 pounds. I also know there will be periods of plateau, so I'll just be patient wait for them to pass. And, hey, I bought the Hungry Girl cookbook myself a couple of weeks ago. Haven't made anything yet (Ha!), but I plan to. Now, I did make the "fudge" made with pumpkin when I saw it in a Hungry Girl email about a year ago. I was impressed. Thought they were yummy. Took them to work and my co-workers enjoyed them, too. Do you get the daily Hungry Girl emails? I want to also say CONGRATULATIONS on soon becoming a homeowner. If this is your first time owning a home, then DOUBLE congratulations. I remember how I felt when I bought my mobile home 14 years ago after living in apartments and tiny rented homes for so many years. What a thrill it was!!! So, blessings on your family and your new home. Enjoy your Saturday!! Bobbie (real name) |
