Entry biggest loser week 2
Feb 24 2009 15:02

Well, I have been eating on average 1700 calories a day and exercising about 300-400 calories off. our weigh in yesterday showed me losing 5 lbs in 7 days. I know thats not what is considered healthy, but its very hard for me to add more calories in and eat healthy foods.

I have been trying to follow doctor's orders to eat only 1 piece of meat a day by splitting that 1 piece of meat in half and having like half a chicken breast and half a turkey sandwich. loading up on more salads, more fruits and vegetable snacks, and almonds. I go back to the doctor today to see what he thinks of my progress.

as far as the contest goes. I am on top with 5 lbs. the 2nd closest to me was 3 lbs and the other 2 barely lost a pound. I think these 2 might be quitting the diet despite what they say to me and the other 1. So I at least have 1 person competing with me and that should be enough to motivate me to continue eating healthier and creating the calorie deficit I need.

I thought that giving up cokes would be really tough on me, but I think the increased energy from eating right and exercising might be offsetting the lack of caffeine and sugar. I am wondering when the cravings will get tougher. We ate Chick Fil a twice and chinese food once, but besides that the last 9 days have been salads. Even the chick fil a was grilled chicken on a wrap with about a table spoon of caesar dressing. I have had 3 cokes total in those 9 days also. for someone who was drinking 2 or 3 a day. 3 cokes in 9 days is incredible.

anyways, its been 9 days and I am hoping the next 21 goes just as smoothly.

this weekend we are going out of town, that might make it a lil tougher as we are going to my parents house and they are not good eaters. lots of baked goods, sugars.. will be a struggle and I can see me leaving the house and going somewhere to get healthier food.
