poobus's Journal
I am not much for "journaling", but saw that I had some new friends and wanted to be sociable.
I have been on an "ab mission" for almost 3mos now. I had a goal weight of 105, (to lose 9lbs) hoping that would achieve abs by my birthday June 16th. I did achieve that goal weight, but still no abs. They are indeed under there, and I just really want to see them. I think a bit of genetics is working against me. If you saw me you would probably say I was crazy, most compliment me on my figure, but I am very competitive with myself.I have set a new goal with myself and my trainer to have abs in sight my my anniversary, sept 10th. I was a professional dancer in my previous life, about 16yrs ago, and developed terrible eating habits/disorder, and a terrible body image. I have worked on that for years and this is really the first time I have dieted the right way. I am very proud of myself to have stuck with it, and so happy to have found this site, it is such a morale booster, and spirit lifter.
I could babble forever, but I'll save it for another entry. Nice to meet my new friends.
hey thanks for the comment/advice/encouragement! It really helps to have someone to answer to if you get off track and your story is inspiring how you're doing this thing right now and not taking any harmful shortcuts that aren't going to be longterm. Good luck this week! <33 |
