New Decision
Nov 29 2009 11:01
I am going to maintain my weight of appx 147 or so for a month or two for a few reasons:
I have been losing very slowly, even with a deficit of about 6-700 cals a day. My body seems to be tired of it.
I am a healthy weight
I will put the scale aside for a few weeks, eat 2100 cals a day and walk and lift weights as much as possible. Starting in January, I am going to step up the works outs some more and have a 500 cal deficit, aiming to lose the rest of the weight within 6 weeks, as well as putting on some muscle.
Pretty much, I am aiming for a total body makeover. I started it in June, and my goal is to finish by my birthday, in April. Not just weight wise, but tone, strength, flexibility, speed....
My eating has been bad. It was me and G's 1 year anniversary yesterday, so we went to Bucca De Beppo. Did not eat tooo much, but yeah, his friends had a thanksgiving leftover potluck last night.
My breakfast today was a slice of pie, and my bf wants to go out for hamburgers.....
I just looked @ the nutritional facts for

I had: baked mac n cheese, ham, turkey, rump roast and ribs (don't worry, one small serving of each) a tiny bit of stuffing, some homemade bread and for dessert....a piece of my cream cheese pie, sweet potato pie, some blue bell AND a small piece of red velvet. All together...about 3-4000 for the day. My food turned out perfect. The bread was just right, soft and warm and buttery and yeasty
. Everybody got a 2nd helping of the baked mac n cheese. And loved both pies.
This is not an apology or I feel soooo guilty journal. I enjoyed it. Shoot.... One day of over eating out the year is not that serious. But me and my bf went on a 4-5 mile long walk this morning, and me the bf and his sister took a mile or so walk between dinner and dessert. So about 5-6 miles today. And we plan on doing pretty good tomorrow too.
Keep moving...that is the goal. The moving belts at the airport and over relaxed people getting trolled around made me realize just how lazy we are as a society....why can't we walk to the next terminal? It should be a natural thing to just walk....anyways. I decided to never take a moving belt again, or an escalator unless absolutely necessary.
Lifestyle....can't be summed up in one day. Thanksgiving did not ruin your diet....just in case you were wondering.
One <3!!!
What I made -except for the baked mac and cheese. It had been eaten too much and no longer at all pretty. (They did not turn out as pretty as I wanted, but as far as taste, everything was a 9.5 or so, so I was happy!!!)
Looking forward to Thanksgiving Day & an interesting comment from my Dr.

One more day and it will be a sort of D-day for me. Seeing all the relatives after several months should be interesting. I can't wait.
I had my class last night and had an interesting discussion with my Dr. last night. She happened to be there for the yearly Thanksgiving meeting. I ran into her a couple of times and on the second time I was able to tell her that I had lost 20% of my starting weight and was 1/2 way to my goal weight. She said "well, you look great and I don't think you need to loose anymore." WTF??!!?!??!? I just saw her in October and we discussed my weight loss and that I needed to be between 130-140 to be in a healthy BMI range so we decided to shoot for 135. Needless to say, I was a little caught off guard. Even the people that were with me from class said the same thing. I still weight 177.4 pounds as of this morning and am still classified in the obese range. I have thought about it all night and I think Dr. A was surprised that I had lost even more since the last time I saw her a month ago and I did tell her that I am going to be at my goal weight when I see her in April. She said that she had no doubt. As far as the others go, they have never seen me at 135 pounds and don't know how I am going to look. I look so different know than when I first met them 20 weeks ago so it is hard for them to imagine me even smaller. I can see it and can't wait to get there again.
I am not stressing about the long holiday weekend. I am just going to take it one day at a time.
my proud moment

(also known as my too frequent journal posts)
last night after work i met a friend to go see 2012. we were given free concession tickets once we got there for free pop and popcorn.
i stared at mine for awhile. i pondered whether i should get some. i mean, it's free. free stuff is almost always pretty awesome, even if i don't much like popcorn. but it was free! .
..and then guess what i did?
i threw that bitch out.
edit: i threw the ticket for popcorn out. never got popcorn...
The Day After (Not What You're Thinking!)
Nov 25 2009 09:26
So we all survived Miley Cyrus! lol Hannah had a great time and I had a great time watching her having a great time! Spending the entire day with my estranged husband can lead to some tension by the end of said day, but overall it was a success. Youngest son's court appearance went well as the ticket was dropped and no points were applied to his license!
Dear Secret Santa,
I thought of a few more things that I like, just in case I haven't dropped enough (any) hints elswhere!
1. t-shirts: long or short sleeved, with pretty pics or logos, etc. size S or M, depending on how form fitting they are
2. leggings: saw some great "sweater leggings" at a local department store but was too broke/cheap to invest $18! lol size M
3. funky socks: as in toe socks, argyle socks, striped socks, etc.
4. pretty stationary (stationery?): not that I write many "real" letters, but on occasion I still do
5. office supplies: nice pens, pretty post-its, fun paper clips, etc.
Okay, that's all I've got for now! (Too specific? Too much?)
6. Oh! and I do like coffee mugs, despite my dislike of pav's offering from the other day! Hopefully I didn't offend pav when I said I hoped she wasn't my Secret Santa!
It was meant entirely in jest, but sometimes "jest" doesn't translate well on the computer screen! So, I hope she's reading this!
Happy Thanksgiving to all those in the Lower 48 and Happy Thursday to all the Canadians out there!
Thank you, and have a nice day!
The Big Day!

Last day of work for the week. I leave for H-Town today! Yay!
And yes, I found my phone. I was just really stressed yesterday. Almost had a meltdown cause I made the mistake of thinking about everything I had to do. But it turned out to be a day of accomplishments:
1.) Ate decently
2.) Got most of my packing done. My room looks way better. I can finish up Sunday night when I get back, and move my stuff Monday after work.
3.) Found my phone (Thanks Sarah)
4.) Got all packed for my trip today
5.) I am registered for 2 classes in January!
I can't wait to leave this town and relax! I am cooking tonight.
I thank God for all of my wonderful friends like my buddy DZ who called me last night who are like family to me in so many ways.
I heard Santa needed help this year

I collect cookbooks (antique as well unusual local), menus from restaurants, handmade/homemade stuff, antique kitchen utensils, coffee table books (with lots of pictures of the local area & the people). Christmas is my favorite time of the year.
i just realized...

Sorry, to have worried everyone. I've been pretty sick the past two weeks. I had lots of diaherra and then had to have two fluid transfussions. Thats under control but I'm having a hard time with my breathing (getting out of breath easily) and weakness. My heart rate is good but my pulse is high. They gave me a shot for anemia then put me on prescription iron pills. Now they want to give me iron in an IV. Waiting for the insursance to approve it.
Mom & Dad are here now. Tammy & her family will be here tomorrow. I'll try to do better about journaling.
