Entry Measurements

I finally got around to measuring myself, something that i put off for two weeks.

I don't know what ideal measurements are, i just want to get to what feels right/looks good, i'm not 'goaling' for something like a 32" waist. At my old gym we did an overall inch loss which was a great motivator for me because the first month i lost a total of 14 inches and that made me so excited! I was at the gym for two years and it went down to about 2-4 inches per month, so I know the numbers won't be that high again, I just am adding this for another motivator.

Chest: 42.5"

Middle: 46"

Lower: 41.5"

Waist: 42"

Abs: 47"

Hips:  46"

L Thigh: 29"

L Calf: 17.5"

R Thigh: 29"

R Calf: 17"

L Arm: 15.5"

R Arm: 15"

Entry this is a new mission
May 29 2009 18:22

i've been a member of this site for about a year (various accounts), and i remember getting an email a while back about one of those success stories. she said that she didn't really have a eureka moment, that she decided she might as well spend the time she has getting fit instead of staying heavy. i've come to that moment now. i've been off and on exercising/dieting for the past 3 years, and what do i have to show for it? nothing. if i just take it a day at a time and don't focus on fast weight loss, the time i spend exercising and eating right will pay off in the end (or middle...). if i didn't think of losing weight as such a challenge that consumed my day, maybe today i could be at my goal weight instead of back where i started 3 years ago.

i started dating someone who i find very special, and in my girly lovestruckness i'd like to marry this guy, so i want to look good for him. he doesn't drink soda because of the carbonation, so i've seen him in all the social situations that i go through drinking mostly water, and it was to put it simply, inspiring. i know soda has been my major downfall, i tend to drink about a 2L per day. i've been soda-free for about a week now and i've lost 2 pounds (with exercise/diet), so i'm pretty happy. i know i should be drinking mostly water throughout the day but i'm trying to phase the sweetness of soda out, so i'm drinking Snapple teas. i'm almost to the point where i drink all water, and the amazing thing was when i went to panda express with my friend, i actually ordered a water and it was satisfying with my meal (terrible food, but it's soda-progress!). i'm just excited that i'm so far succeeded with eliminating soda from my diet, which proved very difficult before i met this man.

here's to the future. one day at a time.
