The holiday food yesterday is reflected on the scale today. I think it is mostly bloating from sodium, altho, the reflection in the mirror doesn't look bloated.

So, to all my friends, keep in mind the bloating from the rich food of the season, which is full of stuff we usually avoid. I think my body is in shock!

I wanted to cheat so bad this morning, but I didn't and the urge passed. I repeated to my self 'glorify God.' It helped.

hi...

Awesome work out last night. Double weight training and double cardio. Biggest loser style work out.

But still overeating. So, not biggest loser style eating.

Also, today, holiday food. But, I probably ate half as much as I would have in the past. Did not binge. Hopefully my stomach is shrinking by cutting my lunch in half and splitting it into two meals and actually walking during lunch hour.

God help me in all things. Thanks be to God for his love and mercy and grace.

checking in

203 lbs. Down two pounds. The new technique of skipping the cafeteria, bringing my lunch, dividing my lunch into two snacks and walking the whole hour at lunch is paying off!

Still going to the the gym after work. Last week only two times. Hope to make it four times this week.

Watched the biggest Loser, as usual. Inspiring.

I hope to be able to drop some weight weekly and make it to goal of 145. I have been bouncing between 190 and 210 for too long now. At least three years of yo-yo. So, I need to break below 190.

I am not journaling daily, but I am checking in and reading. My internet is down at home, and there is no time at work.

I'm not eating at the cafeteria for now. I've not been exhibiting enough will power for that. I am out of prepaid meals and not buying any.

So far this week, I haven't been perfect, but better by not going to the cafeteria. I feel more in control. I am bringing healthy lunches and snacks.

My hopes are up for greater success on calorie control. So, with nothing in the house to cheat on, and nothing in the cafeteria to cheat with, I am bound to do better about not over eating so often.

I am still at 205 lbs. Been battling between 208 and 205. But, I think things are going to improve now.

Also, since I am bringing my food, I am eating on breaks, so I have the whole lunch hour to walk.

Back on days. Adjusting. Broken sleep Sunday. Okay sleep Monday. But Tuesday I was dragging and stressed and skipped the gym and went straight home. Got 10-11 hours of sleep. Feeling better today. Trying to start doing abs in the moring along with a tape that has 3 routines on it. Did so yesterday and today. I have a mental block against doing abs at the gym.

Had a good power walk at lunch.

Ran out of steam this morning. Started off strong. Near the end of my legs workout I started slowing down. Then only did 15 min on the elliptical. I went and had brunch and 3 glasses of water. Took a nap after my shower. Feeling much better now. I was tired at work last night, too, which made it a long night. All is well now. Still not stressing, yay!

Had a good weekend. No stress/anxiety until Sunday night, then only a little. So, I made it four days in the "happy"zone.

Doing good today. I went ahead and worked out at our home gym (free weights) this morning, upper body. Then hubby took a power-walk with me. 2 miles.

I overate a little last night because of the stress. Today I overate at dinner. Again with the dessert. I was feeling tired and hungry. I think the 'tired' part is what made me give in.

I hope to have more days like last Thursday and Friday where I implement portion control and arrange my plate with an entree and veggies. I really think that the weight will fall off on its own if I can do that regularly.

Went to church Sunday. Been a few months. I have been too stressed out and affraid of embarassing myself. Plus, I don't want to be a downer to others. So, I turn hermit.

Anyway, the ladies in my Sunday School class are so awesome. It was a great bible study. The atmosphere is so caring and comforting. Looking forward to next Sunday.

Oh, and most of the ladies in my Sunday School class are going thru menopause, so there was some group therapy time as we vented about it.

Had one of the best workouts I have ever had today. Worked very hard on my legs on the weight machines, plus 30 min eliptical and a 1-hour walk on campus (its a beautiful day!).

Good food day. Didn't count, but made wise choices and exercised portion control, so it must be good. NO DESSERT!!!

My stress meter finally went to zero yesterday and continued today. Yay! No anxiety for two days!

Started taking 2000 I.U. of Vitamin D3 in the mornings and 2250mg of GABA at bedtime. The D3 is touted as being good for those who don't get much sun or for those who suffer from SAD, which I do. Plus, I work an office job. I don't get enough sun daily normally. Tho, I do walk at lunch. The GABA is touted to be just like a natural xanax without side effects.

I mainly thank God for the relief. Whatever the break-thru was, he led me to it and provided it for me. To Him be the glory. I haven't felt this good in a while.

Went to the doc on Monday. Funny how until I was forty, I was too young for menopause. I had been suspecting I was in pre menopause. As soon as I hit forty, they always ask me if I am still having a period. ??? I am 45 now. Still, it strikes me funny that there was no middle ground. So, I guess now I am old enough for any -pause.

Exercised at the gym before breakfast this morning. 1 hour weights for arms, chest, shoulders back. 30 min eliptical. Walked to and from the gym.

Breakfast: Oats made with water salt, pepper and smart balance. Reminds me of grits, but better fiber. 2 eggs cooked in oil. 1 real bacon crumbles. = 500 cals.

Snack: Odwalla bar = 280 cals

lunch: beef jerky and a few almonds. 200 cals.

Dinner: (Cafeteria) veggies, tuna salad, 4 crackers, cake, coffee 1 cup leaded, 1 cup unleaded.

1 oreo cookie bestowed to me by the cookie monster.

So, with dessert and cookie, we see my room for improvement.

Had no problem avoiding dessert yesterday. ??

I am going to say 2000 cals for today.

I am sooooo praying that I wake up with the same energy every morning these next two weeks. Exercising on an empty stomach is supposed to be a good metabolism booster.

I have changed up my routine and am doing weights first. Cardio first makes takes my energy away from weights. It worked good for me today.

I love how quiet the gym is in the mornings. Free to jump on most any machine. How cool is that!

I am back from vacation. It was great. We went camping at the Texas Decatur grasslands Little Cottonwood Lake and the Texas Caddo Mills grasslands Coffee Mill lake at the primitive camp areas. Fished. Cooked over open fire. Camped in a tent with folding cots. Not tuff enough to sleep on the ground. VERY relaxing. One night was so perfect I never wanted to leave my snuggly sleeping bag! Felt I could have stayed cocooned forever!

Working nights the next two weeks while chris is on vacation.

Plan to go to the cafeteria for lunch and dinner. They had tilapia at lunch (1:30pm) and I am still stuffed and it is 6:30 p.m. That is how I like it. I like meals that stick around for a while.

I have snacks of jerky, an apple and almonds. Those will likely be my dinner tonight.

Went to the doctor about the anxiety attacks. Had checked the calendar and I was in prime PMS time, so that is one factor. Perimenopause is the other. She gave me some xanax to keep on hand just in case for the future. I am doing well now, so the hormones have subsided.

I don't like to take medicine, so if the exercise and chamomile will work, those will be first remedies.
