Entry What a wild few weeks

I am finally getting back with the program after a bout of having the blahs.  I have spring fever so bad and the weather is not letting me get things done that need to get done.  Oh well, I have come to realize I just cannot fight Mother Nature and win.

As far as my own personal program I am still behaving and eating well.  The weight has not seemed to vanish an any big measurable amounts but I am loosing a few inches here and there.

I have started going to a local fintess center and working out daily.  I am even lifting  a few light weights.  I call lifting weights my girly man weights because they are only 4 to 6 pound weights. lol  I did get a blessing to lift weights but only if I do not exceed 6 lbs.  So I do a lot of reps with the light weights.

I still walk a minimum of 1 mile daily and most of the time I walk 2.5 miles.  My activity level is up but the weight according to the scales is hanging on.  Maybe someday it will decide to hit the road but until then I have nothing but time.

Hey, got to hit the gym so will close for now.

Until next time,

Roy

You're right about Mother Nature, it's been crazy.

It's nice to see you on here again.  Lost inches are just as good as lost pounds!  Even light weights will help.  Take care.

Nice to read you again! :-) I know about plateaus. Just hang on and keep doing what you know is right. The weight will go. Inches count, and building muscle will make the scale appear to stall out, but the muscel will burn more fat. I know blah blah blah ~ we've all read it sooo many times here. But take it from someone that hit a standstill from mid Jan til mid April it's all true! Glad you got the ok for light weights! Enjoy the gym. The environment can be a big mental boost. Have a super day, and don't stay away from your journal so long. We want to be with you for the lil days as well as the big ones. ~ Charlie

Hey you're back!  Glad it was just the blahs - I get them now and again too.  Congrats on being able to start using some weights.  I like going to the gym to lift as there is a greater variety of equipment.  Don't worry - the warmer weather is coming - then we'll be complaining about the heat and humidity!

Nice to see you again!

And great to hear you got the OK on the weights! Even though it's just light weight training, it's still weights! Good for you!

Keep on hanging in there and you will see results, I've had my plateaus, and then my body decides to lose pounds. I don't understand it, but keep on going! It's worth it! You're doing all the right things! :)
