Isaac and I ran our last 10K this morning to celebrate the start of month 9. I'm so glad I didn't settle for the 5K instead because this run, despite the fact that I forgot sunscreen, hat, and sun glasses, that half of it was uphill (and we're talking good steady hills here) and the first half was into the sun, it was AMAZING. I finished in 54:25, which I was happy with. DH was there and it was great to see him at the finish line. I felt so happy and relaxed while running. I swear I was averaging 11 minute miles going uphill and 7:45 minute miles going down! What and extra 20 pounds will do to you, I guess.
I had a woman come up to me afterwards and tell me that her 18 year old son finished and then said, "Mom, I got beat by that 9 months pregnant lady." Made my day!
Happy fourth of July!
