Sunday

I think I gained like 5lbs this past week. I weighed myself the day after thanksgiving and I was actually at 140, but these last two days have been crazy. I'm talking tons of pie, cookies, candies, and other goodies. So I really need to get my butt into gear and eat nutritionally. We only have 1/2 a pumpkin pie left and about 6 pumpkin muffins, so hopefully that'll be gone by today...and not eaten by me.

Patrick went out of town yesterday for the Tech/Baylor game but is coming back today It's crazy how much we miss each other already. I don't know what I'm going to do when he's gone for 2 months for boot camp in February. I'm going to have to keep myself busy somehow. I can't believe how fast and how hard I fell for him. I didn't think it was possible.

So anyways. Patrick is coming back sometime around 11-12 I think and I think we are going to go play ultimate frisbee at some church at like 3:30. We haven't played with these people yet so we are mostly just checking it out.

Gobble Gobble!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! I hope you all enjoy yourselves and not worry too much about what's on your plate. Moderation is key and thanksgiving is only one day, so even if you really go crazy today you can always redeem yourself the next day. I'm really looking forward to pumpkin pie more than anything. And a huge dallop of cool whip too. I'll do my best to skip lunch to save extra room for everything but if not, I'll have an egg sandwich or clif bar or something small like yogurt. Looks like I'll just play it by ear. Definitely gotta drink a lot of water though.

Scale said 141 this morning and I'll take it. My bro came home yesterday and we went out for Mexican for dinner. I was able to just get a diet coke instead of a margarita too, but that was mostly because I had to go play frisbee afterwards.

Frisbee was okay last night, my stomach was hurting because of dinner so it wasn't as fun as usual. But a lot of people showed up so it was enough to have 2 games going on, so it was nice not being completely winded after like 1 game.

Boyfriend said the L word to me last night. I knew it was coming too. I could tell he was getting nervous, which was really cute and he kept hesitating and saying he'll tell me later (he said maybe in a couple weeks, and I knew right then what he wanted to say, because that's the only thing he wouldn't want to say this early on) but he eventually spilled the beans as the night drew on and I could feel my heart melt on the spot. I didn't say it back right away, I pretty much smiled a huge goofy ass smile...grabbed his face and kissed him. Then he commented that he's a huge dork, which I responded with "it's okay, I love you too" hehe we are so in the gooey, gooey stages, and I hope we stay like this.

My mom pissed me off yesterday when I left for frisbee. She said "dont be out too late" and I asked why, in which she responded "it's not right" so once again I am being judged by my parents. But alls we do is hang out, we aren't going out drinking and driving or scoring crack at the corner mini mart. And I'm freaking 23, almost 24 so really any kind of authority they have for me is like the size of a little green pea. So whatever, I can't wait til I move out. Which won't happen soon since I'm unemployed. That'll be my motivation.

So anyways...my parents are having a bunch of people over for turkey day, which I'm not too excited about. I think I'm going over to the boy's house for dinner too so I'll probably barely eat my parents stuff so I have room and don't look rude at his house. I'm hoping his family eats later so I have some time to digest some food. Parents probably won't be very happy about me skipping out, but hey! they didn't invite him and his parents invited me sooooo yeah. lol. Okay I'm gonna go chug more coffee and try and wake up.

Have a great day everyone

Toosday

I played volleyball this morning from 9:45-12:30ish, then went home and made an egg mcmuffin sandwich and showered, now I'm waiting for Patrick to come over...and ***drum roll please**....we are officially boyfriend/girlfriend. It was pretty funny how we had "the talk". Patrick made a little slip by saying he's going to have to tell his other girlfriends to not come over in a joking manner since I've been at his house like every night this past week and I must have made a funny face when he said the word "girlfriend" and he tried backtracking by saying "or other hang out ladies"...he of course was joking but it really made me want to ask if there are other "hang out ladies" as he says but I kept my mouth shut but he knew a question was bubbling in my head. So he kept asking me what I wanted to say, which I really didn't want to ask because I'm just not the one who likes to bring these types of conversations up. He told me there were no other girls, and there was just me. BUT he still knew I wanted to ask something. He reads me too well. So after a lot of persistence on his part I eventually caved and asked him "So if there aren't any other hang out ladies? are we dating? or what are we doing?" So he asked me "out" and I said yes and we were both pretty happy with that oucome. He told me he knew that was what I wanted to ask. I felt pretty dumb for not being able to spit it out but I just really didn't want to be the one to bring it up, but I'm glad we finally have that covered now. Especially since I can now have an excuse to give other guys like freaking Chris if he ever tries again. lol.

So Patrick is coming over to hang out and I think we are gonna order pizza for dinner. I'm really sleepy so I hope I wake up when he comes over.

I'm driving up to Dallas on thursday to see friends and to go see the midnight showing of New Moon (yes I'm one of those nerds). So no Patrick for like 2 days. I'll have to get my fill these next couple nights! haha.

Okay he's on his way! I'll try and read journals later.

friday

Finally the scale stopped moving for a day! Although I like seeing numbers go down, I didn't like them going down so freaking fast. I'm 5'9 and 141 now and don't want to lose much more weight. I think the lowest I want to get to is like 135 and that's not too far away. My mom commented that I was too skinny yesterday...are you serious mom? I think I freaking look like the she-hulk. Which is a good thing. I'm almost embarrassed by my muscles at the gym. lol. just kidding. I think she's losing weight too, so I'm proud of my mom. Although she's not exactly doing it the way that I want her too.

That facebook chat is dangerous! Chris messaged me AGAIN when I signed on and asked me if I was going to someone's bday party tonight, which thankfully I have plans with Patrick (get to that later). I think he's finally gotten the message through his little brain. Or else I'm in for an unpleasant surprise.

So anyhow, I texted with Patrick yesterday from 5pm-10pm. I went to bed at 10 since I have work this morning at 6. But I have something to look forward to: Patrick and I have our first official date tonight. We are seeing Fouth Kind and I'm gonna die! haha. The previews already freak me out so this will just be great. I think my mom and I are going shopping today so I hope to find a cute shirt to wear.

To-do:

Work 6-1

Shower when I get home (I know I'll get gross at work)

Be out the door by 2:30pm and go shopping with my mom

No keeping track of food today, I probably won't get back on much.

So I went over to Patrick's house last night right after work We put in a movie, Casino Royale (Newer James Bond movie) but I cannot tell you what exactly happened during it. hehe. I stayed there until like 2 am, I probably would've spent the night there if I didn't think my parents would have a fit about it. lol. We were already falling asleep together and very comfortable doing so. Alls we did was make out and cuddle so parents would've had nothing to worry about, but they are ultra conservative and I would've had an earful, even if I am 23 years old. I like having a roof above my head and food in my belly so I'm gonna try to keep the peace around here.

Scale said 141 this morning. I definitely ate enough calories yesterday thanks to pizza at Patricks. I was gonna be low for the day but that definitely brought me back up to probably around 1700, which is a good amount since I ran a pretty good distance yesterday. I'm gonna stop counting calories since I pretty much know when I'm having a low day, I just wanted to see how much I was actually getting and where I need improvements.

Work today 9am-2pm. Definitely gonna need all the caffeine I can muster up since I only got around 4-5 hours of sleep but I'm not gonna complain about that. Maybe I should bring workout clothes with me to work and go to the Y afterwards?? hmmm I'll do that, but I might wait til tonight if I'm not feeling it. My mom told me to bring in those chocolates to work because she keeps snacking on them. So I'm gonna be a nice daughter and do that. She says she's lost about 10 lbs so I'm hoping she keeps at it and I'll try and help her out.

I have no real plans yet today, besides work and hopefully a work-out. I might tan too after work/work-out...that requires basically no energy to do.

7:10am-9am: COFFEE

8am: 1 cup kashi golean crunch, 1/2 c. unsweetened almond milk, 1/2 a banana, handful of blueberries

12: turkey sandwich (light wheat. 2 slices tukey, 1 slice swiss, honey dijon) and a 16 oz lo-carb monster

3:30pm: 1 c. kashi golean crunch, 6 oz nonfat organic yogurt

Workout: did 25 on elliptical, abs, some arm and leg weights

= how I feel this morning. I hope everyone has a good day!

Happy Birthday to the GROUND!

First off, go look at the new SNL skit: "I threw it on the ground"...freaking hilarious.

Patrick and I texted from 6pm-1am so let's just say things are going good. He's coming back tonight so hopefully I'll see him tonight or tomorrow. He told me that he was staying with some Marine pre-lim dudes and a bunch of them got caught drinking. What morons! got caught by the recruiters, which makes a great first impression. They couldn't even leave their rooms because they are being held responsible by the government.

So anyway, scale said 141 this morning. I think I ended up eating around 1500-1600 calories yesterday thanks to some chocolates that came in the mail with my parent's new carpet. And I didn't go to the gym last night since I was texting with Patrick and I cooked dinner for my Dad. I figured 2 hours of volleyball was really enough anyhow.

I might go on a run today for the first time in like 3 weeks...lol. I have a turkey trot on thanksgiving morning so I better start running at least 3 times a week. I'm either going to try to run to starbucks or the YMCA. Starbucks is about 3 miles, YMCA is like 3.7. Oh boy I'm going to die, but at least the weather will be nice. *update* made it to the Ymca in 37 minutes!! not too horrible for not running

*ANOTHER UPDATE* I'm going to Patrick's house after work tonight

Stuff today:

Go on a run (done)

Shower (haha this is a given really) -(done)

Try and persuade my mom to go shopping? tehe (fail)

Work 5:30pm-9:30pm (barely even worth the drive there)

Calorie goal: at least 1500-1600

FOOD:

7:30am-9:30am: Coffee!! =50

8:30am: 1 cup kashi golean crunch (190), unsweetened almond milk (30) handful of blueberries (25) 1/2 a banana (50)= 295

11:45am: bourbon chicken (300) coffee yogurt (160)=460

1:45pm: 8 ounces unsweetened almond milk, 1 scoop protein powder, 1/2 a banana=190

Just call me Puma

and no, not in any relation to the Lion King. Patrick came over last night and we watched a couple scary movies and somehow got into a tickle war which resulted in us cuddling and then having a make out fest. So I guess I was right in thinking that he had a thing for me. lmao. I was a little hesitant at first but that quickly vanished and I was glad he stuck to just making out because I didn't want to pull out any stop signs on our first little rendezvous. I thought he was going to a couple times but he managed to control himself. TMI time: It seems like TTOM came too which must be some kind of intervention. Especially since it's like 15 days early, which never happens to me.

Okay so scale said 142 this morning. I'm losing weight faster than I think I should be.

Work 6-1. I got a crappy night's sleep too so this will be dandy. At least I have something to daydream about though. One of Patrick's friends is taking me to go look at soccer cleats today for frisbee and football. So hopefully I won't be slipping and falling all over the place anymore.

Not sure what's going on today. I'm hoping either frisbee or football, other wise I'll have to go to the gym. No time to log food today, I'm already running kinda late this morning. Crap gotta run!

Sunday

So my plans yesterday pretty much did a 180 in all directions. Instead of frisbee, we played tackle football. The boys just did two touch on me though since I'm a girl. I did go out to eat as planned with my friend and had a good time talking with her, even if it only was for a short while. We had Mexican food and I started with one margarita and could not taste any alcohol in it...so pissed, it's freakin halloween I need at least a little buzz, normally one or two margaritas will do it but this stuff was weak, so I order a jack on the rocks. Which ends up being a rip off (too much ice, not enough actual Jack) so I just order a Jack straight up next..and then it finally kicks in. lol. I call Patrick who is freakin on his way to downtown and I tell him to turn his butt around and come pick me up because there was no way I was going to try to make it to downtown in that condition. He was with a couple of his buds so they turn around to come get me, but get pulled over in the process for speeding. They just get a warning but Chris (the one who drove) says that he's just gonna go home so we take my car. Patrick drives because I sure couldn't. Patrick dressed as Robin Hood and his friend Brian dressed up as Jesus and I was a hippie so we were a pretty interesting little trio. We ended up just walking around downtown looking for something to do but found nothing since they were under 21.

So we decided to go see Paranormal Activity, which was pretty crazy. I freak out pretty easily at scary movies and Patrick had to console me lol. I could tell he was nervous doing this. He had to hold down my hands because I use them as eye shields and I could tell he was shaking a bit with his hands on mine but that could have been me too? I couldn't even tell, but the shaking was making me even more jumpy. The last 2 minutes of the movie was the best though, it's kind of slow in the beginning but the last 2 minutes freaked me out hard core. I definitely had to watch some Family Guy when I got home to make me feel better. But all in all it was a pretty good night for not being too eventful, I got some blisters on my toes from all that walking, but it was worth it.

So anyhow the scale said 143 this morning which surprised the crap out of me since I had all those drinks and Mexican food. But I'll take it.

I'm not sure what my plans are today. I should probably go to church but I'm not sure if I feel like driving that far this morning. Don't really have a good excuse b/c of the time change either. I'll probably head to the gym if I don't hear of any frisbee or anything going on.

7:30am-?: 3 cups coffee (3 splendas, 1tbsp sf creamer)

8am: 1 c. fiber one honey clusters, .5 banana, .5 c. light vanilla soy milk, handful of blueberries

1pm: 1 cup kashi go lean, 6 oz nonfat yogurt (cereal just sounded good again)

Saved by the dog!

I opened my eyes this morning to my parents dog whining at me...I just think that she wants to get fed earlier than usual so I roll back in bed until I glance at the clock. Immediately I try to re-adjust my eyes because it can't be 5:30am!! But it is! I'm supposed to leave at 5:30 so I jump out of bed pull on my work clothes, grab the toothbrush w/some toothpaste, run downstairs, let the dog out, feed her and the cat, spit the toothpaste remnants in the sink, pour some cereal in a lil baggy and run out the door. I don't even care about hair/make-up, I was atleast still wearing yesterday's make up and my hair wasn't too bad. But now another problem...I have no caffeine in me and am on my way to work so I have to make the call whether or not I have time for a starbucks run. The obvious answer is yes. There's always time, even when there's really not time. Time is nothing when coffee is involved. So I run in and can't even mumble out the right drink order and laugh at myself when I say a "Vinni" instead of a venti. Guy taking my order had a good chuckle at me too. But I managed to get in and out pretty quick, the drive-thru was packed but inside was empty. I ended up getting to work about 2 minutes late. I couldn't believe it. I've never run out the door in that big of a hurry before. So both the dog and Starbucks saved me today.

I'm guessing I turned off my alarm in my sleep. I got a couple late phone calls/texts so I must have been used to silencing my phone. This one guy keeps texting me and it's getting annoying. He's a friend of Patricks and he's the type of text-er that texts you numerous times before you can even write a response. I haven't responded to any of his texts today because I don't want to send any wrong messages AND I just plain don't feel like it. Now if Patrick texted me, that would be a different story. Speaking of which, we talked online a bit last night but nothing else going on there really.

Oh and I got my hippie costume last night. I'm going to have to tweak it a bit to make it more appropriate. I'm going to a party with some people from church so I think showing your midriff might be a little much. But anyhow. I wanted to get an afro too, but alls they had were black ones and I wanted a brown one. So I might do without it.

Stuff today:

Work 6-12 (done)

Tan (done)

Workout (planning on 30 minutes cardio, abs, and maybe a lil bit of weights) (done)

Friend's bday party tonight

Food:

5:40am: Venti Skinny caramel latte

9am: 1 cup kashi golean crunch

1pm: grilled cheese (light wheat bread, 2 slices 2% american cheese, 1 tbsp. light butter), 7 strawberries

3pm: 1 cup kashi golean crunch, 6oz nonfat yogurt

5:45pm: 2 servings of Select Harvest Mexican TOrtilla soup and a slice of light wheat bread

Uh oh. Cute guy who works @ gym said "hey" to me...hehe

effing rain

Frisbee was cancelled last night because of the rain so I didn't see Patrick yesterday. I invited him to pick-up volleyball this morning so we'll see if he shows. He again was in my dream last night and it wasn't a good one. He was dating another girl. lol. Dang dreams. I'm just going to take this one day at a time, if something happens, it happens but I'm really trying not to get ahead of myself here.

CC was being lame last night and wouldn't let me log in. It was pretty annoying. I didn't do much of anything since frisbee was cancelled. I watched some of the world series then fell asleep watching a movie. And now when I can be sleeping in, I'm awake at 7:15am. I might try and go back to sleep for an hour.

Volleyball today 10-11 at the Y, then 11:30-2pm at local college. No work today! A friend is coming in town Saturday and so we are gonna be hanging out on Saturday. She's supposed to call me to tell me whether or not she can go to this Halloween party with me because then I'll need to go get a costume. I scoped around the costume stores yesterday and I'm pretty sure that I want to be a Hippie. lol.

Not much else going on, I might try and sleep a bit more. Hope everyone has a good day.

7:30-9:30am: 3 cups coffee (3 splendas + 1 tbsp. SF creamer)- I actually only had 2 so far, but maybe a 3rd in the afternoon?

8am: 1 c. kashi golean crunch, 1/2 banana, 1/2 c. light van. soymilk

2:30pm: 7 medium strawberries, grilled cheese (2 slices light wheat bread, 2 slices 2% american cheese, 1tbsp light butter)

6pm: 6 ounce nonfat yogurt

9pm: lean cuisine meal

*UPDATE: So Patrick did show up for volleyball but then after an hour goes by he says hes going to play vball at this college nearby so he asks if I want to come along so I say yes. Vball at the college wasn't as fun at the Y but it wasn't too bad. I really cannot tell if Patrick is interested. I mean we flirt and crap but nothing is happening beyond that and it's kind of bumming me out. Alls we do is play volleyball or frisbee or go to Cici's. Either I just gotta be patient or maybe "just friends" is the right route. Hmmm...

So I'm thinking I should go to bible study tonight. I am...............60% sure I will go. LOL. Eh...but on 2nd thought my friend should tell me today whether or not we will go to that halloween party around 7 and I'll need to hurry up and buy a costume immediately. I'll decide later I guess.
