I didn't wake up to work out this morning. In addition to finding a way to ignore my cell phone alarm, I also had a pretty bad stomach ache this morning while I was sleeping, and then this morning while I was thinking about waking up. And I just didn't think I could work out with my stomach hurting that bad. I don't even want to theorize on what was to blame -- I just knew I wasn't going to get up to work out. Which is fine, I guess. It's not like this was a hardcore workout week I just ruined there.
Besides, my whole body aches from yesterday. Apparently lugging a crock pot of soup everywhere you can think of is an excellent workout. My arms, shoulders, chest, back, abs, thighs and calves are so sore today, I don't know that I could have worked out anyway. So I'm not disappointed.
Eating went well last night, except for the cake, which I only ate because I was upset. Huh, who knew I was an emotional eater too? I thought I ate out of boredom. But Ethan was... a challenge last night on the way home and I put a movie on in his room and told him to watch it and relax, and then I had cake. But other than that it was great. I had about 1/3 of a bowl of macaroni and cheese before I found a bug in it and then that was not happening. I had a sandwich after that and a snack of popcorn, so all in all it was a pretty good day.
Spent a good chunk of time yesterday fixing my menu for the next two weeks. I've gotten so good on eating on a budget -- I will only have to COOK cook about four times next week because I can use the ingredients from previous days that are leftovers to make new meals. Beautiful. My new favorite meal = burrito salads, which uses the leftovers from stirfry days and stuff I already have pre-portioned and in my fridge. So less cooking + less waste = easy, cheap meals. Yay! Because I need to buy my tabs this time around and I'm not looking forward to being broke.
