Going to the gym was much easier today. Perhaps I'm finally getting over my distaste of cardio. I've also been able to burn over 700 calories on the cross trainer at the gym. I've also discovered that when you stop doing weights the strength that you've built up fades away.
Anyway starting Monday next week I'm going to start getting up at 4 am because that's what I plan to do when I start my job the week after so that I can get my 2 hours of working out in.
On a bad note I've somehow gone up to 205 this week. I think the gnocci was just a killer. I measured everything out so other than the flour used to roll the dough. It may have added up to half a cup or so of flour. But the weight gain definately started when I ate that.
Today is the third day that I ate 1200 or so calories and burned at least 700 calories on the elliptical so I should have had a loss this morning. Anyway I finished the gnocci yesterday so if I work out tomorrow and I've got 1300 calories planned I should register a weight loss by Sunday. Also I'll cook from the cookbook only and if I make gnocci again I will cut 1/3 of a cup out of the flour to mix into the potatoes and measure out how much flour I use to facilitate the rolling.
Also on another bad note the lights in my kitchen blew. Home Depot doesn't stock that so I will try to look in Lowes and then The Tool Box. The bi-fold doors that I want will cost $430 just to buy. **sigh** One thing I hate about this condo is that since its so old, fixing things means special ordering. I have to get the doors fixed.
I was also thinking that I should just save $50 a month as part of a revolving home repair fund. I think that now that my food and alcohol are under control I can work on my financial situation. I know I can save money and I know I can live on a budget. I'm going to ask my roomie about that exam that you have to take before you can be a waitress. As soon as I start working I'll pay for it so that I can work during Christmas. I think waitressing will allow me to keep the second job to two nights a week that would be fantastic.
I'll have my siddur by Wednesday. Yay! I cannot wait to say the Shema.
