I think this is my body's way of punishing me for my scant eating habits in the past. I'm not losing anything. In fact, i seriously think i might be gaining. ok, i admit, in the last (maybe) three days i haven't been exactly "good" but i NEVER went over maintainace. so whats up? I hate this feeling. I've been working so hard to resist overeating. I always work the bad cals into my day and i come in under or just right. I don't understand. any suggestions? What should i do?
Hi there. Yeah, that does seem a bit??? Have you been in starvation mode recently..perhaps eat maintenance for a week. Then eat 500 calories below maintenance consistently for another week...and see what happens. Whatever you lose in the second week may give you an indication of what your bmr actually is...it may have decreased - what with reduced exercise and previous eating too little....So if you lose about a pound then you know you're on the right track..you may lose a little more or less indicating that your bmr's a bit higher/lower than you thought. |
that sucks - the vicious other side of the low cal period. I think you're just going to have to be patient and wait for your metabolism to perk back up. Because you're so young, it really shouldn't take long at all. Keep active and keep eating nourishing foods. You might be tempted, but don't go under your calories - we saw how hard it was for Gab. Also, get enough sleep and enough calcuim & vitamin D! |
My advice is to just stick it out. Just don't undereat! |
